I have by going to sweetwater every summer for 10 years. I don't think I will ever stop going. I learned to ride a horse there, I learned to fish there, I learned that hummingbirds can fly on average 25-30 mph through a group of friends eating breakfast. The people are terrific, the cabins are clean and well taken care...

first of all this is the only time I have ever wrote a review but after visiting this place I felt I needed to warn people not to go. If your in to run down smelly and beyond dirty you might enjoy this place. When you first arrive broken appliances sit outside just below the humming bird feeders as if...

This retreat is off the beaten path. We went on a trail ride earlier in the day nearby. We like to have lunch here at the restaurant on the covered porch which is rustic with a down home feel. They have a great bison burger. The porch is decorated with hanging flower baskets. We enjoyed watching the humming birds buzz...

We absolutely enjoyed or stay at Sweetwater Lake Resort. The cabins are very clean and comfortable. Our had three bedrooms and a full kitchen that was well supplied. Also a charcoal grill and a gas grill on the large deck. The views are tremendous. You can hike, fish, rent a boat or canoe or go horseback riding. The restaurant has...

I can only write a review of the restaurant as I did not stay at the resort. This place reminds me of the fishing places my dad took us kids back in the day. It is very rustic and old. My friends and I ate at their little restaurant and truly enjoyed out meals. Do save room for the desert...

I love to be in the middle of no where and this place fit the bill. It was quiet and beautiful. There is a nice hike to a scenic overlook. It only takes about 30 minutes. Our family had a lot of fun with that. They also have many options for horseback riding and pony riding for under 5. We...

Our friends asked us to come with them to Sweetwater Lake Resort and we were glad did. The lake is simply beautiful and peaceful. The staff were all so friendly and kind. They accommodated my gluten free diet by toasting my own bread and waffles at meals and were careful with sauces and seasonings. The restaurant served great food and pies....

We had a great stay at Sweetwater Resort. Part of our group stayed in a cabin (Clayton) and the others stayed in the motel rooms. The cabin and rooms are all fairly old-school (décor, furnishings, etc.) but beds were comfortable and water was hot. This wouldn’t meet your expectations if you’re looking for a cookie-cutter hotel/cabins, but if you’re looking...

My girlfriends drug me camping out to Sweetwater. We did not stay at the cabins, but definitely did the drive by....cause we were lost. Cabins looked quaint and not warranting the price. But they are a seasonal business and have to make their money during the brief time of the year. We were there in June, lake was still way...
