This used to be our favorite place to stay but something has changed over the years. No pool, it has been "down" for over 2 years. Beds and pillows are not comfortable. The drawers were dirty so I didn't even want to unload my suitcase. We didn't get new dry towels or clean washcloths on our 2nd day staying at...

If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place. It is however an affordable place to stay. The outside area had nice tables to sit at and enjoy the mountain air. Behind the hotel is a river, very nice place to sit and relax. Front desk people were very nice and friendly. Our room was a good size...

I stopped here on my second day out of Philadelphia, right after the worst hotel I have ever visited, and was very pleased to find an excellent room at really low price. The receptionist was informative and energetic. He suggested a room backing to the creek with a sliding door leading out to a couple of chairs and a small...

Nice simple comfortable place. Shared a room with another couple we were traveling with and plenty of room to stretch out. Mini fridge. Close to downtown Idaho Springs and hiking trails. A great feature is that it backs up to the river. We purposely left our balcony door open so we could hear the soothing sound of the water. That...

Midrange independent hotel, some (not all) rooms with a view on rushing Clear Creek. All items in room in working order, friendly and competent desk clerk. Even though I-70 is directly overhead and the creek rushes by in the rear, the rooms are deadly quiet. From now on, we sleep here when we are in the Denver area. And it...

In August my husband and I, together with my parents, stayed at the Argo Inn and Suites in Idaho Springs, Colorado. The rooms we stayed in were absolutely filthy! The other guests we spoke with agreed that their rooms are also very dirty and offered many of their own complaints to us. I told the front desk that the surfaces...

Idaho Springs in a small town on I-70. It is about 9 miles from the casino mecca of Central City. There are no chain hotels in the area. All of the hotels we looked at looked about the same. We stayed here because we were close to Mount Evans and were leaving early the next morning to make it to...

We stayed here very briefly, but we would have stayed longer if we could. We had a corner room with a balcony overlooking the stream. I think this is one of the more spacious rooms. The room was very cozy, and there was a fire place! There is a common outdoor patio with tables and chairs overlooking the stream. Very...

Last room. Was told only one room without A/C and this was not it...yeah right. No A/C (not even able to run the fan), no screen on the window so couldn't leave it open, Main door had been forced open many times as the jamb was really scratched and torn around the lock. Door didn't close tight, light and noise...

Stayed here randomly. Clean, comfortable etc. Plus some rooms have views of Colorado River. We cooked up steaks on grill and enjoyed the fire pit at night with some other patrons. Ill b back. Cheap. Maybe $100. Free toothbrush, comb, and other silly things you wouldn't expect at budget place. I liked it better than $200 rooms in Breckenridge.
