The property is across the bus lane from Mountain House facilities. The Peru lift is easy to walk too, while the beginner area is just as close. However, this years lack of snow had the area closed and we have a 7yo we were going to teach to ski. So we had to take the bus over to River Run and the gondola. The green bus stop, which is not that far was ok, however for not being use to the altitude and walking in ski gear made the trudge thru the village to the gondola long/tiring/slow. The 2nd day there the Peru lift opened. The 3rd day my 7yo was good enough to take the Peru lift, which made Slopeside an excellent choice to ski out of.... Now no boots are allowed to be worn in the resort, you heard that right. So our process was to wear our shoes and one person took the boots to the truck (in the heated underground garage) while the other collected the skis from the ski locker on the 1st floor. Then we met at the truck put on boot and exited out the side of the building and walked over to the Peru lift. It may sound worse than it really was but after getting into a routine was not too bad.
The hot tubs were excellent until they were shut down by the Summit Co. red alert and we were able to go to a couple restaurants until these were shut down as well. Having driven, we brought food to cook and the outdoor grills by the hot tubs/deck/fireplace were convenient. Overall a very satisfying trip. BTW, we are going again in March 2021 and staying in the same condo unit. The Mountain House area is a much quieter and calmer area than the River Run area. However, Both areas have their own excellent qualities. Slopeside is one of the closet condos to a lift without breaking the bank.

We are very pleased with the location. You can walk to all the lifts. And the covered garage is perfect in case of snow and it isn’t that cold. We have a full size refrigerator, which is perfect for covid times because we cook every night. There is no oven but a stove. They also have the perfect spot for learners within walking distance. The magic carpet is perfect for little ones and refreshing your skiing skills. Unfortunately, our room is outdated. I spent a good 45 minutes just cleaning the floors. It doesn’t appear that the rug has been swept under in a very long time. Also I found crumbs of Doritos on the counter. I usually wouldn’t write a review but for what I paid, I am just a little disappointed with the cleanliness. We hope upon our next visit these issues are taken into consideration and corrected.

We've stayed at River Run Village before but we had a long walk to the ski lift. Slopeside is MUCH closer walking distance to the slopes about a small 3-4 minute walk and you're at the Peru ski lift. The condo was a great value. It had free indoor heated parking, couple of hot tubs to relax after hitting the slopes, kitchenette with stove, refrigerator, dish washer and microwave and a lot of cable channels in our unit 2774 so we could find a good tv station to watch and relax. Our unit was a little outdated and the carpets needed to be changed but it was clean and there was nothing that would get you grossed out. It was a decent sized studio and close to the ski lockers and door to the car garage. Walls are a little thin so you can hear anyone who was walking by but there wasn't much traffic so we didn't mind. We booked directly from Keystone Resort so we got the kids under 12 ski free, the free ice skating passes, the free night of skiing from 4-8 pm and the free nordic skiing. We used the kids ski free and the free night of skiing so we saved at least $300+ on lift tickets for the 2 adults and 1 kid. Keystone is a nice mountain and it's nice that the slopes are pretty contained, easiest on the left, intermediate in the middle and hard on the right so you can stick to one area depending on your skill level. We went during MLK weekend so the lines were longer than normal but still not too bad. The lines for the gondolas went very fast. The village itself is not as nice as places like Breck, Vail, Whistler but it's nice enough in my opinion. Get the EpicMix app and you can track your activity throughout the mountain...kinda nice at the end of your trip to remember exactly where you went and how much you skied/snowboarded. Also the variety of restaurants leave much to be desired. Anyway back to the review of this condo. All in all a very good value and great location.

We have stayed at Slopeside several times over the years in various types of rooms. Though certainly showing its age and needing some upgrades, we have found it to be consistently the least expensive lodging located this close to a chairlift at Keystone. Slopeside has 2 buildings, A & B, with A being the closest to the slopes. It is a short easy walk to the Peru Express chairlift from here. There is underground parking under both buildings which is nice on snowy days, and elevators to all floors. Ski lockers are conveniently located on the first floor. During this stay we had a studio on the top floor of building B, with views looking west over the parking lot and spectacular views of Buffalo mountain in the distance. Being on the top floor, the room has high cathedral ceilings which makes the small studio feel larger than it is, and lots of windows. The room has a murphy bed and updated furniture, though the pictures on the walls are very faded. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen area and fridge are small but have all of the basics for making meals. Areas around the bath tub and the back of the bathroom door looked like they could use some maintenance but were functionally fine. Everything looked clean in the room. The only big maintenance issue we saw was one of the windows looked like it was about to fall out of its frame. Otherwise we were happy with the room and it was mostly quiet. There's not much to do in the Mountain House area and we knew that already. Most of the restaurants, shopping and activities are in the River Run and Lakeside areas. There are free shuttles that go back and forth between Mountain House and River Run all day and the shuttle stop is a short walk to the east past the Chateau d'Mont condos next door, not far from the Argentine and Peru chairlifts. We would stay here again.

My wife and I were looking for a "real gem" at Keystone and we discovered Slopeside! We had heard other friends talking about the River Run base area, but decided to look in the Mountain House area instead because we're not the "late-night" partying types and really like staying close to the lifts so we can get the best runs early in the day.

Slopeside is probably the quietest place in Keystone, but only 200 or 300 feet from the lifts! We had a great night's sleep and then a nice, early start on the slopes where we found some untracked powder for the first four or five runs on the Peru lift.

Some of the places at Slopeside we found were simple studios, but we found a beautiful one-bedroom through VRBO. What a gem this turned out to be!!

We skied in Keystone during Christmas Break 2013. We stayed in Slopeside Condo unit 2738. I knew in advance that this was budget lodging. The unit was a one room studio with a Murphy bed and a pull out couch. There was updated furniture and the unit was clean but otherwise dated. The pull out couch was terrible as expected. The Murphy bed was tolerable. The efficiency kitchen had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, and 2 burner range. There was no oven. There were two hot tubs with a mountain view but one lacked Jacuzzi function.
The prime reason to stay here is the less crowded Mountain House area and close walk to slopes. It is close enough to return for lunch. Although the unit was average, the location is superb. Free ski lockers within steps of the unit were appreciated. Free bus transportation between areas was reliable and friendly.
If you take it for what it's worth, the units are good lodging for budget travelers.

Keystone was a beautiful place to be!

We booked through keystone lodge and spa, thought we were staying there. Didn't understand this was a separate building with better location to mountain. Kind of a draw back that they are all private owned/rented condos because they vary room to room but ended up ok. Bed/sheets were clean. Walls were dusty in corners. Bathrooms outdated but fully functional. Kitchen convenient.

Overall we'll return. Friends stayed in river run and paid double us and we were only a 2 minute free shuttle ride from them (and we had underground parking included).

Location is right on slopes with ski lockers. Dillon, frisco and Breck short drives.

Only negative, hot tubs close at 10 pm with locks. Bummer when dinners are later with night skiing.

My husband and I stayed in Slopeside Condo #2777 over MLK weekend. We rented it through summitcove.com and were impressed with the service. It was easy to rent online and they called the day before we checked in to confirm our stay. The condo looked exactly like the pictures online, so it was nice to not have any surprises when we got there. The condo is very spacious and we had more than enough room. We didn't pull down the murphy bed since it was just the two of us, but I think you would still have plenty of room with it down.

The location can't be beat. It is right at the bottom of the Mountain House base - less than a 5 minute walk to the lifts (even in ski boots!).

The heated garage is nice too. It's easy to find a place to park and you are close to your condo. While Keystone didn't get any snow while we were there, it was nice to get into a warm car when we left to go somewhere.

It does get a little noisy at night after the slopes close and early in the morning when they are grooming and making snow. If you are a light sleeper, you may not want to stay so close to the mountain.

Do make sure you open all the drawers and look everywhere in the condo for where things are stashed. We were sad that we didn't find the sleds under the bed until the morning we were leaving.

Overall, we had a great experience at Slopeside and would definitely stay in this condo and rent from Summit Cove again.

We booked here through a large group and didn't quite know where we were staying. We were very happy it was close to the lift (2 min walk) and there is a heated parking garage. The unit itself is old and dated. We stayed in a studio with kitchenette. The furniture was all mismatched and the decor and bedding etc was about 10 years old. It was clean and cozy enough but felt like the old couch in the basement. The microwave and coffee maker didn't work properly and we found some items from
A previous guest. The location was nice but don't think we would stay here again. Needs some updating!

This was my first time visiting the Keystone Resort and I was impressed by the Slopeside Condominiums. I visited with my brother who has visited Keystone many times and typically stays in the Jack Pine condos because of the location in the River Run village. I did expect the room to be a bit larger, particularly the kitchen area, but it did comfortably hold three male adults. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We had no problem with the bathroom and enjoyed the complimentary toiletries. My only request would be for a full-sized refrigerator rather than the mini fridge that is provided. If you're staying for more than a couple of days, it simply won't hold enough food to keep you from making many trips to the grocery store. The location of the condos is easily the biggest selling point. We walked outside, down a few stairs, and we were immediately in front of the ski rental area and chairlifts for Mountain House. The Peru Express is a great run for beginners and provides easy access to the Montezuma Express which will take you to the summit of the mountain. I enjoyed Slopeside and would stay again.

Kayla, I'm sorry in the Keystone area guests are not allowed to have dogs at the condominium complexes. Its a rule set by the individual HOAs. Check out The Keystone Lodge, they have pet friendly Hotel style rooms.
