Checked into Unit #3068. Actual unit very pretty, well decorated with comfortable furniture. Excellent location. Four bedrooms; 2 with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms and 2 with bunk beds. Bathroom in hall. Had full equipped kitchen with oil, herbs, paper towels as starters plus a Keurig coffee maker with variety of coffees available. Three TVs provided. Good layout; in/out skiing to River Run Slope and 5 minutes walk to Village. Good view from balcony and safe area. Keep in mind the unit itself was ok...it was the mishandling and competence of management. There was no cleaning service, which we were unaware of. Blankets had animal hairs all over them; there were urine stains on the carpet in 2 different areas and and scratch marks on the inside of the master bathroom door. It's a no pets unit. Chest at entrance had a broken lock which was very sharp and it was sticking out. Cleaning staff said they were going to report it to management but no one came to fix it. Called to get another condo and was offered one outside the village but we had no car; the other condo they offered was ready next day but was told by management that "it was not a nice condo"; that the one we had was better. With that info we opted to stay where we were for 3 more days. To top everything off we were charged again for our stay even though this was fully prepaid. Took 5 days to get money refunded to me. This is a bad reflection on the condo owner that really has nothing to do with the problems...it's just bad management. Should have heeded the warning regarding Keystone management from other reviews in Tripadvisor. Vacation turned out well at the end but it could have been a fantastic experience instead.

The Timbers is a beautiful property & we had been looking forward to staying there for awhile. We finally got the chance last week to stay in Rm 8077 (4 bdrm/4ba) and to our surprise and disappointment there were too many flaws in the upkeep & service for a property of this caliber and price. The 1st disappointment was there was no housekeeping at all & we were not warned of this ahead of time. 2nd the thermostats were set to 76 degrees in all of he rooms and even though we reset them & called to have them reset, the room remained between 73 & 76 degrees throughout our 4 day stay. The bed my husband & I slept in completely caved in on 1 side after the first night. It was like sleeping on a slope the entire time. We had many normal things go wrong, like the french doors blowing open and not being able to keep them closed because the door was missing the small piece that those type of doors have to keep them secure, the refrigerator not getting cold, needing more towels etc that they did begrudgingly take care of. The young men that came to fix the problems each time were pleasant. I think the most annoying of all is when I would call for these incidents the woman on the phone would try not to send anyone to help. She even told me they might make us go outside if they had to come inside to our room to fix the French doors. Perhaps they are extra cautious because of the pandemic, and that I get, however, if you are going to accept my money I would prefer full service or give me full disclosure so we can make a decision to stay there or not.

We weren’t able to find a 3 bedroom available so we settled on this 2 bedroom with sleeper sofa. Not exactly ski in/ski out as compared to our past visits to other resorts- but not too inconvenient. The ski lockers are on first floor, skiers bridge to outside location on 2nd floor. For us, this meant go down from 4th floor to 1st floor to get skis, then up to 2nd floor to skiers bridge, short walk to slopes. Condo had everything we needed to cook some meals. The heat was very inconsistent during our stay - main room too hot, bedrooms and bathrooms too cold, I’m not sure if the thermostats in each room were working at all. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. My son accurately described the beds as “soft concrete”. Nice balcony with grill(we didn’t use in the below 0 temps). Heated garage is limited to 1 vehicle per unit which is inadequate for larger groups with more than one vehicle. Also very difficult to park larger vehicles inside garage. 5 minute walk to river run village. VERY expensive during new year holiday so I guess I expected more.

This was our second visit to the Timbers. We stayed in room 3063 this time. Pros: Condo building is nice Cons: -Bit outdated -Beds were hard as a ROCK, Not kidding. My husband and I wanted to leave in the middle of the night because we couldn’t sleep. It was so bad. Going to get massages now because we can hardly move. -there were two groups of “maintenance” that had to come into our for awhile during our stay. The second group was what was frustrating as they came to get ice off of our patio with loud banging when our babies were sleeping.... let’s just say they weren’t sleeping anymore. -hot tub was out of commission our entire stay and we had no idea until we got there. 2 stars because we like that it’s ski in ski out. But the rest sums it up. There should be a lot of improvement to keep their “4 star” rating. Best of luck to you if you stay here... maybe bring an air mattress just Incase you find yourself on a concrete bed like ours. 👍

The two master suites in our condo were super! The extra two bedrooms were excellent, and the kitchen was well-equipped and clean. I recommend this rental to anyone. The hot tub and sauna were much-appreciated. Oh, and ski in and ski out—yay!

We stayed here recently for a family ski trip. Great location close to the slopes. It's not really ski-in or out, more of a short walk to the slopes - at least not with the snow we had during our stay. There are nice indoor ski lockers on premises, but they are down 27 stairs from the snow, so not the most convenient. There is nowhere outside to leave skis, snowboards except leaning them against a wall. This property is just on the other side of the Lone Eagle condos, which are as far as I can tell the only ski-in, ski-out property in Keystone. There are others that are close, but not as many properties as I have seen at other resorts. It is also a short walk to the base village area, making this one of the most covenient properties at the resort. There is indoor parking available as well. Rooms are well appointed if a bit dated. A few minor complaints, like not enough lights and outlets in the bedrooms. Nice balconies in most rooms. Beds are fairly comfortable. Pull out couches in our unit were old and really thin, better to sleep on the couch itself than the pull out mattress. Kitchen was great with full complement of utensils, full stove, microwave and refrigerator. Able to cook some meals to save money and just for convenience. The common areas were excellent. Indoor-outdoor heated pool, sauna, steamroom, small gym, nice common room with a fireplace, free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Free daily paper. Nice outdoor pool and hot-tub area with plenty of seating. The elevator is very slow, but the steps are easy to get to as long as you don't have to go up too many flights. We would definitely stay here again. The snow wasn't great when we were there, so that might change things a bit. Rooms are quiet and well insulated, warm. Rooms on first or second floor are probably the most accessible. There isn't much of a view anywhere. Ski lockers are on the first floor, bridge to cross over to the slopes on the second floor. Rooms are numbered sequentially so they make no sense. See picture for detail

We enjoyed our time in the condo, and love Keystone and the quick access to River Run Village. Lovely views from all of the windows and a cute little balcony to catch the sun in late afternoon. The second bedroom has bunk beds that were not made on arrival. The sticker says you can call for help to make them, but we got in rather late, so we made them ourselves. Love the cool evening air in Colorado which more than cool down the condo in the evening. Nice pool and hot tub on the 1st floor with a cool view of the final run. Furniture was nice and accommodations as listed. Some toilets were sensitive to clogging, but had a plunger nearby.

There was nothing about this lodging that wasn't to love. BEST - Is the location. Quality amenities, beautiful decor, underground garage, great balcony and felt like home. Keystone management was the best we have had in a long time. Very attentive to our needs and requests. It was never more than 30 mns. before we received some kind of response. Keystone employees were kind, friendly and very professional. This will be where we stay every trip. Thanks Keystone!

My family of four stayed in a 4 bedroom (#3073) with another family of four, and we had ample room. It was so much fun to be together for all meals and to wind down in the evening, and we weren't at all crowded. Another family of 6 traveled with us, and they stayed in #3075. We had 6 adults in total and 8 kids ranging in age from 10 to 16. This condo building was perfect for everyone! The younger (10-12) kids loved being in the pool after a long day of skiing. There is a huge, comfortable downstairs public area where we gathered in the evening to watch the kids swim (you can get in the pool INSIDE and then swim outside under a wall...so cool!), play chess or just hang out . There are card games and board games down there for anyone to use as well as complimentary hot chocolate, cider, and a piano. :) The ski in/ski out location was fantastic. You store your skis in a large locker on the first floor. In the morning, you carry them to the elevator, which you take to the second floor, then walk outside and across a bridge to the snow, where you pop on your skis and cruise down to the lift. Getting in is easier as you can ski right down to the first floor and store your skis there for the night. We went back for lunch every day and saved a ton of money by not eating on the mountain. The runs back to the condo are very easy green runs so even inexperienced skiers can easily navigate this. We had a car, but we only used it one time in a week, and that was to go to church. Other than that, we had no reason to leave! Everyone was so happy hanging out in the spacious condo or in the public areas downstairs. River Run is a quick walk away for ice skating, Starbucks, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend this condo!
