They basically roll up the sidewalks after 5 PM. This village has so much potential to be amazing, but there is nothing to do after dark. A few over priced shops are open but thats about it. You might enjoy a few photo opportunities or a sit down by one of the two gas fire pits do t depend on any entertainment.

Mom of a 12-yr old... need a say more? 😄 Why yes, I will, because for any parent or guardian looking to create a ski experience that allows for convenient breaks, hot cocoa infusions, and making the whole donning/removing of ski equipment easier, staying at River Run Village is the best way to go. My daughter and I went up for a two-day ski trip and stayed at Silver Mill 8307. We each had our own bedroom, plus as the mom I took the one with the private bathroom. We brought our own groceries, which all fit into the full-size refrigerator, plus the kitchen has all of the appliances you need to make every meal if you so choose. But let me tell you about the ski amenities, because that's the best part. We were able to store all of our equipment - helmets, boots, skis, poles, goggles - in our allocated locker on the first floor. So we'd get on our ski clothes, take the elevator down to the lobby, head to the locker room right there, grab our gear, and put it all on (minus skis, of course) by the warmth of a fire. Then we basically walked out the closest door and in three minutes we're in line at the gondola. Returning to the condo for lunch and at the end of the day was just as easy. Why is this awesome for me and for you, too? Minimal grumbling from the tween! Skiing takes a decent amount of effort just to get to the lifts, and keeping my kid's motivation at acceptable levels for what becomes a pretty expensive outing is why staying at River Run Village is WORTH IT.

We stayed at the Arapahoe Lodge in a 1 bed 1 bath unit. The unit was nice but not updated. I have been skiing for 20+ years but this was our first family ski trip kids were (6) & (8). Our building was 200 yards from the lift and ski school which was a perfect morning walk with the kids prior to hitting the slopes and it wasn't too far to walk after a long day. Having everything from food, coffee,a small grocery store and hot fresh crepes at your finger tips was a huge plus for us. the only time we needed transportation out of the village was for the Sleigh Ride dinner which we highly recommend to any family. The transportation was provided by Keystone resort and it was maybe a 20 min ride. We will be back annually with the kids

If you stay in Keystone and you purchase a multi-day lift ticket which allows you to ski at Vail, Beaver Creek, or Breckenridge, make sure you get a babysitter because your kid's pass are only good at Keystone!!! But what the heck, it's only another $144.00 for each kid to ski that day.

CONS: - PRICEY for what you get. We paid roughly $1,000 per night. - check on your room layout prior to arrival. We thought based on photos that the 2nd bedroom would have twin beds for the kids. However, the guest bedroom was a queen. This does not work for us, so one slept on the couch. - Housekeeping does not come by daily, so you have to call a number for additional fresh towels, coffee or anything else. They were very responsive when we called to get sheets for the couch. - TINY pillows for king bed. Yes, it's the little things that make for a good night of sleep after a busy day of skiing. Mama is tired! - Outside village square of dining and shops can be a bit noisy at night. Turn on your white noise app! - Showers need major updating. Water pressure was a sprinkle. PROS: - Nice kitchenette. - Plenty of seating on couches for living room. - fireplace. - Plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturizer. - Convenient to all the family friendly items....such as snow fort, tubing, ice skating, ski schools. - Great access to plenty of dining...kids liked the crepe stand...parents liked having Starbucks nearby! - Reception/registration desk was friendly and helpful. Cookies at check-in was a nice touch. ** See my review under "Keystone Ski & RIde School" for more specific information.

Best views in River Run. Wall of windows in condo facing the mountain where you can watch the skiers. Easy walk to gondola (about 300yards) and restaurants. What else can you ask for? The unit (2921) was simply fantastic! Will definitely be coming here again.

Pros: plenty of TV channels in living room fireplace, worked when it wanted to huge hot tub in bathroom clean place with lots of storage space good location (close to shopping and outdoor pool within walking distance) nice long balcony facing the mountain plenty of space in condo 2925 Cons: outdated furniture and fixtures reminiscent of a dorm room bedding and linens were old and not that comfortable 1 shower in condo and not large enough for average size male, if you turned in shower your body parts touched the walls. bedrooms are small and not good for claustrophobic person no working cable in bedrooms no elevator

We stayed in a 2BR, 2BA unit on the second floor. The unit was recently renovated with plenty of room for family of 6. Unobstructed views from living room is outstanding looking at the ski slope which I really enjoyed. Big window up to the ceiling makes it feels more open. Bedrooms were small but sufficient. Beds were comfortable. The queen size pull ut sofa was surprisingly comfortable as well. Bathrooms were well stocked. Location is great-only minutes away from the slope. The only complaint we have is the lack of an elevator. We arrived late at around midnight with 6 suitcases. Having to unload and walk the stairs in the midnight cold was not all fun. The building is a bit date and doesn't have additional amenities (fitness room or spa room or swimming pool). This doesn't bother us though. It was great value.

Good location, off street parking, small but adequate efficiency unit on second floor that needed a bit of love. Located on edge of River Run Village with fantastic views down the valley and of the slopes. Not the Ritz but it worked well for our New Years trip. Clean, everything worked, just bit worn.

Went here recently, stayed in room 2921, I guess the rooms vary in quality. Recently remodeled, in room hot tub, remodeled bathrooms, nice. We had a special weekend, building is in River Run, but has an unobstructed view of slopes from living room. It's a smaller building, which we preferred, less hectic, yet still very close to all the River run bars and restaurants. Loved the room, very new looking. Great value, highly recommend! We will be staying here again!
