A delightful young couple have bought the Inn and are in the process of getting it in tip top shape! They're creating community with offerings of music, movies, and lovely rooms. My husband refers to La Veta as our human recharge area. Just 3 hours from Boulder, give them a try!

On our way from Colorado Springs to Taos, New Mexico, we wanted a convenient place to stay overnight, and we choose the La Veta Inn. We’re certainly glad we did. It was a weeknight and off-season. My wife and I arrived late and were met by the co-owner, Ryan, who along with his fiancee are renovating the historic property. They’ve...

My wife and I were in Colorado recently on a vacation road-trip and decided to stop in La Veta on a Saturday evening on our way to Denver from Albuquerque. After driving around a bit we decided to check out the La Veta Inn and ultimately booked a room. It was a great choice. We popped in unannounced and easily...

We were in La Veta for a wedding and the bride's mother recommended the inn to us. The owners were very pleasant and helpful. The hotel and rooms were quaint. The bed was very comfortable. I would certainly recommended this inn.

We stayed in the mountain room 210, please note you do have to go up stairs. I love the painted room as it depicted being between the mountains like La Veta. The bathroom is spacious with a separate tub and shower. The shower has small seats as well. The bedroom is a good size with a king bed. The mattresses...

We went 15 miles out of our way to this hotel based on previous reviews. However, timing seems to be an issue. We were there on a Monday and when we checked in the owner told us that the bar and the restaurant were closed on Mondays. Also the other 2 local restaurants were closed on Mondays i.e. bar food...

I was so pleased with my stay this past weekend at the La Veta Inn. The new owners are very friendly and doing a terrific job. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had been newly renovated. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the bar had plenty of options for beers, wine, and mixed drinks. I highly...

They have a fun dining room with tasty food and a lively but not to noisy tavern, with billiards shuffle board and music! It is a great value and looks...

We had eaten at the Inn several times over the past years. We had never stayed overnight before it closed. Now, a young couple from Kanas has purchased and reopened the inn. It had been in shambles. The Inn is just now open two weeks or so. We and our Springer Spaniel were personally welcomed! The accommodation part of the...
