We stopped in the gift shop to pick up some t-shirts. Good selection and friendly man behind the counter. The town was booked solid, but the man was gracious and helpful to his prospective guests. Great place!

This place is iconic.....in my mind anyway. The Silver Spur has been in Lake City as far back as I remember and that goes back 45 years. The owners John and Venice are the most wonderful people you will ever meet. This place is made up of a motel, a liquor store and a souvenir shop. The shop has tons...

This motel is tucked into a small lot right in the center of town. The room was spacious with a king size bed in the main room, a second room with a queen bed, full bath and TV in each room. While the furniture was a hodge podge of 1950s style stuff, the bed was very comfy. It was quiet...

The room had 2 double beds, a desk, chair and small couch. The room was clean but the furniture and decor was like stepping back to the 1950's. There were even velvet paintings on the wall. There was no refrigerator or microwave. The room had no air conditioner but we didn't need it. You could hear creaking when someone walked...

This hotel was the most enjoyable hotel I have ever stayed at. They were quick to make sure whatever I needed was done quickly. The maids were extremely friendly and happy. Most maids I have met are friendly but not happy. The location was awesome-close to everything i needed. There was a wonderful little gift shop in the office.

After camping in the rain for a week, we ran out of patience and opted to stay in a hotel when we hit Lake City. We stayed at the Silver Spur on CO149. The people there were friendly and helpful, the room clean, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. And the prices were reasonable. If I need a dry...

Stayed here overnight during a recent bicycle tour that took us through Lake City. The location was convenient to several restaurants and coffee shops. As one reviewer already stated, this hotel has no frills, but provided everything we needed: comfortable bed, plenty of room, hot water for showers (several in our party did not get the hot shower because the...

We stayed at the Silver Spur in August for two nights to climb Handi's Peak. It is a very dated property in need of some care and updating. The room we had was clean, with a comfortable bed, fresh linens, good towels, tv, heat and free wi-fi. It was a decent value and served its purpose. The location is excellent...

The Lake City website lists all the motels, cabins, etc. The listing for the Silver Spur Motel says "handicap accessible". I'm in a wheelchair so I need somewhere accessible. I called the motel, and they were very helpful. They measured the doorways to make sure I would fit, told me there was a ramp in front of the room, and...
