Very nice place. upgraded us to larger cabin. had fireplace in room and full kitchen. deer and rabbits walking around. near garden of the gods. Good places to eat near by. easy on and off main highway. THE only trouble was a bad wifi.

All the chains were booked so we looked for a "mom and pop" sort of place. The rooms are quiet because there are only 2 lodges to a building. The resort is spread out also. Don't expect much but if you don't want to be camping in the cold this is a pretty good place to stay. The bed was... More

My dad and brother and I stayed here for two nights driving through on our way to Pueblo after hearing Manitou Springs is a cute town. We had no plan and just stopped at the first lodgings we saw. I am so glad this was the first place we saw because the rooms were really nice, and the balcony was... More

This was the only place in Manitou Springs that had any vacancy. That should have been our first clue! The location was good. The place is very dated and unclean. I could have handled the fact that it was old, but could not stomach the fact that it was not clean. It was very dirty and dingy, carpets stained and... More

There isn't any excuse for untidiness. We always ask each guests if there is anything that needs our attention to let us know. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. Nothing hurts an establishment more than unhappy customers. I thank everyone for their stay at the El Colorado Lodge and appreciate their feedback on areas needing improvement. We will work harder! Stayed here for a last minute vacation with the family. It was actually the only place that had availability in Manitou Springs where we wanted to do all or activities. Staff is friendly and the idea is cool, but the rooms were not quite as clean as I would expect. Had a musty smell and actually found some trash under... More

Appreciate your comments. We're have our direction for improvement. The hot tub was a bad idea. If 8 guests get in at the same time, this causes the water level to empty the tub when the jets are on. This caused the motor to jolt and blow out. Replacement was shipped and hot tub was and IS STILL up and... More

We booked a 3 night stay. The location was good and convenient. That's about all I liked. They don't clean daily, they just change out trash and provide clean towels. Never made the bed, never vacuumed. I wouldn't say this place is clean. The carpet was very stained and the whole room was outdated. I did not feel comfortable here.... More

We have several bed sizes: twin, full, queen and kings. Sounds like the full size bed was too small for the two of you, but it may have been the only cabin available. Our policy is not to move any personal items off of the bed in order to make it up. That may have been why the bed was... More

Will never stay here again! We stayed in cabin 25...the carpet was filthy! The cabin smelled. The cover they had on the futon was dirty and covered with dog hair. We took it off and stuffed it in the corner. Children's play ground was terrible. Garbage piled high in a wagon or something. One good thing..the help was very nice.... More

And we will get HELP! There isn't any excuse for untidiness. We always ask each guests if there is anything that needs our attention to let us know and we'll make it right. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. Nothing hurts an establishment more than unhappy customers and a housekeeping staff only there for a paycheck. I thank you for your stay... More

The place is pretty dated. Fairly clean, just old. Most of the staff seemed pretty nice. Pool was cold, hot tub was out of commission. Convenient location to food and activities, surrounded by many other lodging places, some looking a bit sketchier. Would stay again, but not before looking elsewhere.

We stayed in Cabin 6 in July with 3 adults and two children. There was plenty of room and we had everything we needed. The pool was large, however, we couldn't get the hot tub on. The wifi was a little spotty and we had to sit on the porch of the main lodge to use it. This was okay... More

We had a wonderful experience staying at El Colorado Lodge. After a last minute plan for a weekend getaway in Manitou Springs we called at least four hotels that had no rooms available. Then, when I reached the wonderful lady at the El Colorado she found us a really great adobe cabin for us that night. We enjoyed the hot tub... More
