Most amazing trip of my life! BMR is the real deal, family run by true professionals. My sister and I stayed in Rock Creek, (you can't go wrong with any of the cabins) first week of August this year. Got a nice work out walking up the hill from meals everyday. Right next to spotlessly clean hot tub! Food -...

This is one holiday we will never forget. The ranch is stunning with spectacular views. Our accommodation, Rock Creek cabin was spacious and spotless. The horses chosen for us were perfect. The wranglers were exceptional, thanks Landon and Mark for taking care of us, also to Amy, Brandon, Matt, Vic and Emily, to name but a few. The rides were...

We first visited Black Mountain Ranch in 2003 and have just completed our ninth vacation with them. When first selecting a "Dude Ranch" the attraction of BMR was it's smaller size, the range of activities offered (in addition to horse riding) and the fact it had a licensed saloon. These aspects have remained consistent throughout the 13 years we have...

Our visit exceeded my expectations. Staff and wranglers are very friendly and will accommodate special requests. Good for all levels of riding ability. Great trails, never a dull moment and five star food to boot. Yeah chef Bob and sous chef Jake

The best vacation ever. The place is stunning. The views breathtaking. The staff awesome. The horses perfect. I have to say this place is just about the best place ever. The wranglers are very competent and the nicest ever. The horse the gave my husband, Gila, was the best. He had never rode a horse before and now he wants...

Great destination for family fun. Lots to do, see and eat at the "Food" Ranch;-) Great wranglers, staff and owners with a keen eye out to ensure that everyone has something to do that they will enjoy. We had 11 family members from accomplished horse people to novices; age 6 to 72 and everyone had fun and learned something new.

We visited BMR in the last week of July as a family of 4 from the UK (son aged 10 and daughter aged 8 with her 9th birthday whist on the ranch). We were absolute beginners in terms of horse riding and this was our first holiday of this type – so we were a touch apprehensive about how it...

We had a wonderful time at Black Mountain Ranch going as 2 families including 3 adults, 3 teens and 2 children 10 and under. Aside from the breathtaking views this is altogether one breath taking place. There is so much to do and the wranglers are excellent at tailoring what happens to your family members' interests and ages. We all...

My extended family of 11, 6 adults and 5 kids, all had an astounding time! Great rides for all levels from 6 yrs old to experienced jumper to 70 yr old novice. The food was too good...despite the altitude, the exercise and activity, don't expect to lose any weight! Wonderful wranglers make every day a ton of fun. This was...

The Black Mountain Ranch is a beautiful location full of wonderful vistas. However the true beauty of Black Mountain Ranch is the people who work to make your visit everything you want it to be. From horse back rides up Black mountain to evenings in the saloon your wrangler and the rest of the staff will ensure you have a...
