Had a very comfortable overnight stay at Hollyside Lodge. Lovely room, nicely decorated, impeccably clean and super comfy bed too. Great location for both Carlisle and surrounding cumbrian countryside. Wonderful breakfast, honestly can't recommend this lovely little place highly enough.

Situated in a peaceful village with a pub close by. Spent two nights here with my son during a coast to coast cycling tour. Very comfy twin beds, smart decoration and facilities with good size shower and excellent breakfasts served in the room. Tea/coffee/kettle in the room with guests' fridge in corridor for storing milk etc. Lynette was so helpful...

This B&B is a bit of a surprise. I didn't expect to find such a classy place with great food and a friendly welcome. The owner gives excellent service and value for money because she has a real love for her business - and it shows in the quality. We wished we could have stayed for longer.

We came to Carlisle to see Rod Stewart play and were so lucky to find Hollyside lodge. Near enough to Carlisle but in a beautiful village location. Lynn greeted us, a brilliant host from beginning to end. We had our own garden entrance so could come and go as we pleased, Lynn was around to help with anything we needed....

We stayed one night and had a lovely experience. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Lynn was a great hostess and breakfast was served in our room in the little dinning area at the bottom of the bed. We could choose our time of breakfast too. Plenty of parking room and would definitely recommend this fantastic 5...

We have just returned from this very special bed and breakfast. The surroundings are very calm and peaceful, the rooms are luxurious, and the food is fabulous. Following a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Attention to detail could not be faulted. We will be back!

I have been asked to write this review on behalf of my auntie Tracey (as she is useless with technology haha) and her partner John. This B&B is stunning and in fact better than some hotels I have stayed in. We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the place is beautiful both inside and out. Our room was...

Such a lovely place, Very comfortable room with a fabulously spacious & well equipped bathroom. In fact the room is exceptionally well equipped & Lyn has thought of everything you could possibly need, e.g. plenty of hangers, iron & ironing board, bath robes, hot water bottle, to name but a few. I was really well looked after & it is...
