Dave is a WONDERFUL host and Aurora does a great job with the daily breakfast buffet (best deal in town)! This was our fourth (or fifth?) trip to Ouray and our first time staying here. It can be stressful trying a new place, but we were more than pleasantly surprised. The hotel has all this historic touches of the period...

Ouray is a great Western town to visit, with its late 19th century historic buildings, warm hot springs pool (quite nice), its fun downtown, crafty shops, and its emphasis on outdoor activities. The St. Elmo Hotel is an experience! Don't plan on a television for entertainment, but it's quiet, and gives one a real feel for what it would have...

It is charming, great Victorian decor, perfectly situated, a quick walk to restaurants and the Brewery on Main St. We have especially enjoyed happy hour with the owner, Dave. Breakfast is always delicious.

Dave and Blake father and son proprietors are extremely personable and helpful. The hotel is relaxing and serene. No phones and TV's in the rooms, but that just adds to the getaway experience. There is a large TV in the parlour for shared viewing. I truly enjoyed the stayed. The town itself is lovely. We ate at 5 different resturants...

My wife and I stayed there on 6/27/16 & 6/28/16. We were in room #4. Each room has different decor and we loved the atmosphere at this hotel. No TV's or Phones in the rooms. There is a TV room downstairs with a large screen if you need to get a fix for TV. But, tt was great. Relaxing. We...

Good stay. This is restored hotel that still feels Victorian. The rooms are all different, but furnished with a combination of antiques and modern furniture. The rooms are good size, but the bathrooms are very small. No tv in rooms, but a big one in the parlour. No elevator. Breakfast is good. Good and friendly service.

After researching many of the B&Bs and hotels in Ouray, we selected the St. Elmo Hotel. We were very happy we did as we let our imagination take us back in time to that of the furnishings and wall-paper - the early 1900's. Our room (number 6) was very comfortable, and we did not miss having a TV in the...

We loved our stay at the St. Elmo! David and Blake were incredibly welcoming and we felt right at home. Our room was comfortable and very clean, not to mention the quirky and unique decor made us feel like Victorian royalty! There was a fun happy hour with snacks, and lots of wine.... FYI the wine never runs out at...

This hotel took us right back to the days of the gold rush. The owner and his son were very personable and entertaining. The room was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location for activities in and around Durango as well as restaurants and shops. Just walk out the front door. We loved it.

We tried to cancel our reservation there with 24 hours notice, The highway (i-70) being closed due to a rock slide and the owner would not cancel our reservation and charged my credit card the full amount. He was very well aware of the highway being closed but he told me that he was a small business that that he...
