We fell in love with High Country Lodge at first sight! The HCL was perfect for us. We actually drove all the way thru Pagosa Srpings but HCL was the "Soul Soother" we were looking for so we turn around and went back. We so enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of the mountains. The sweet little cabin was very clean &...

Many people have told us how relaxing and happy their stay was here at HCL, but I think you put it best -"soul soother". What's not to like about beautiful mountain scenery, a quiet pond, baskets of flowers, cool breezes, and sympatico people? You had the kind of experience we would like all of our guests to have. Thank you for...

We only stayed one night here, but it was wonderful. The place is surrounded by beautiful mountains. We stayed in the lodge, as opposed to the cabins, and our room was very comfy with cozy blankets that reminded me of a true mountain experience. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the glorious view as we sipped our wine...

It sounds like you had the real Colorado experience while here. It's not so much about running around frantically trying to meet a schedule of tourist attractions-it's about enjoying our beautiful mountains and all they have to offer, like a wonderful 10 course meal, slowly savoring everything and turning it into a special memory. We are happy to have been...

My wife and I stayed here in early October in a lodge room. We were in room 204, it was nicely appointed with a king size bed and a sitting area. The room itself was VERY clean which made the wife happy. Breakfast was included and was above average. Fresh eggs, sausage, etc.. The property is well maintained with a...

We came into Pagosa Springs after a long day on the road and no hotel reservations. Town seemed so busy and we passed through only to find this beautiful place on the edge of town. The room was great and there were the most beautiful handing flowers Very homey country feel and the office staff was very professional and sweet.

Thank you for choosing High Country Lodge. We are happy to be a 15 acre oasis of peace and beauty, but still only about 5 minutes from the center of town. It is our pleasure to make you feel at home from the moment of check in to when you check out. We enjoyed your kind review very much, and...

The pictures do not do it justice...you don't realize it's sitting on a highway with absolutely NO view, except for the big sign, if you are in the motel part. The traffic noise was terrible and we had to choose between the noise and a stuffy room (very difficult, if not impossible, to adjust the heating). We opted for the...

We stayed here in mid-October for two nights and loved it. The property is well-kept and the staff is very pleasant. We stayed in cabin 406, which is a cozy two bedroom cabin with a good-sized porch. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the views. There was also a nearby picnic table and gas grill. The hiking trail...

We always look forward to hosting honeymooners and people celebrating events in their lives. It is a pleasure to help them make wonderful memories while here at HCL.
