The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean, and the owner and her daughter (?) were friendly. This is an older motel, but it has been well-maintained. No unpleasant odors to contend with. Most importantly, I was not disturbed by earth-shaking trains, or late-night a

We stayed 3 nights while trail riding and it was perfect! The rooms are spotless and the beds perfect. There was a fan and extra pillows in the closet. We also enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings on the bench by our door, taking in the Colorado beauty. The courtyard has a gri

We only stayed here for one night, but was very pleased with our room. It is a small quaint motel that is well maintained and comfortable. Our room was small, but had a queen bed, that was quite comfortable, a small table and chairs, a coffee maker, mini fridge, a hair dryer and

Thank you for your review. I enjoy seeing guests visiting with other guests in the courtyard, and sometimes they take instruments with them for a little sing along.

Does the Poncha Lodge serve any kind of breakfast? No mention on the website & that would be so unusual these days? If not, are there good places for breakfast nearby??
No they do not provide a breakfast. But there are several places nearby. I recommend the little coffee shake next door in the gas station parking lot, young family things it. I did not rate the Patio Pancake House however we went there and although they were waiting in line outside the crowd move really fast and the breakfast was very good .its 10 minutes from the lodge in Salida

Hi, happy thanksgiving. My Wife, Jen and I are coming to stay at Christmas. We are staying 9 nights. I am assured of the reservation; confirmation number 65014145. We will be eating the majority of our meals in the room. What would you suggest we bring regarding appliances?
"All rooms are good here!"
"Rooms 12, 14, 15 are more out front and closer to the highway. Other rooms further back MAY have less road traffic noise."
"If you don't mind a slightly tight space and you're only staying a night or two defintely book the smaller rooms. They are a great deal!"
"The rooms in the back are a little quieter"
"not included, but try the breakfast from D's Hunger Trailer for a few extra bucks.. It's delicious and totally worth your money :)"
