It was our first time at the Mountain Goat Lodge and we will be back! It's a very comfortable place. The owners made us feel right at home. Gina was very accommodating with my diet restrictions, and the breakfast she made was delicious! Not to mention the yummy and included coffee drinks!! We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the peaceful...

We are a year-around resort destination, each season offers lots to see and do - or just a chance to chill out and relax. Of course the goats will always be here to entertain...

Thank you so much for your nice review. Yes we are very pet friendly and also family friendly. This has been a very busy summer season and so I would love to encourage you to come back during the off season to enjoy a quieter time here - perhaps when the leaves change color? thanks so much again, we hope...

We stayed a couple of nights at this B&B and had a comfortable stay. The property has goats and chickens, and we enjoyed being able to watch the goats play and the chickens roam. Breakfast was good and plentiful. This is a dog friendly property. The owner has two dogs who spend their time in the communal gathering areas (breakfast...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We are always grateful for feedback and constantly strive to make the customer feel at home and also to improve our guest experience. What can we say about the animals? We do make it perfectly clear we are pet-friendly, and are actually a little farm. There are lots of animals,...

We rented the entire Mountain Goat Lodge for a long family weekend. It was a perfect choice. The lodge ( large log cabin with high ceilings and gorgeous views ) was more than we expected. Each room upstairs were spacious and had small private baths and all rooms had balconies with beautiful views. The bottom two "suites" were huge with...

Thank you so much for your great review! We are glad your family was able to relax and enjoy our little slice of heaven. The goats are entertaining and a valuable education for kids to see where the milk and eggs come from. We are always delighted when a group or family reunion makes the effort to get together. I...

We just returned from a two night stay at the Mountain Goat Lodge. I would recommend this bed and breakfast in Salida without hesitation. The lodge itself is just the right size, not too big, not too small, with a beautifully appointed great room and kitchen. The rooms are fresh, airy and clean. Our hosts, Gina and D`Arcy, are friendly,...

I admit to thinking of many B&Bs...especially in New England...as places where fastidious, aloof people sit around drinking tea and reading the NY Times...not that there's anything wrong with it! Well, Mountain Goat Lodge is a different animal: it welcomes people, children, and pets, and has plenty for families to do! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well equipped with great...

THANK you for such a nice and interesting review! We try to make sure we are not "stuffy". No lace curtains or doilies here. Thank you for mentioning all the fun things we have on our property - from the barn, the hot tub, the green house and now the retro trailer park! Speaking of Lucy and Desi, we are...

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Goat Lodge. The view is fabulous. The room was very comfortable, and we could lie in bed and see mountains! There were wineglasses and a corkscrew in the room. Breakfast was excellent, the goat yogurt was the best. Gina made some things I would not have normally had for breakfast, but all...

Grounds are clean with areas to walk. Great fenced dog run area, but dogs are also allowed everywhere else on the property on a leash. Large deck with a clean hot tub. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am glad you enjoyed the hot tub and hopefully the stars were out as well. Thank you so much. We had such a great time and our little furr kid so enjoyed playing with Sooki, exploring the inn, running in your big dog run and walking the property. She was very intrigued by the goats but knew enough to stay back. We enjoyed the time to power down.

We loved having you and your pooch here to share in our beautiful property with dog-areas and dog friendly environment. Glad you were able to rest and "power down"... Living on this little farm is so peaceful it is hard to remember all that high stress corporate mentality that we came from...we try to de-stress as much as possible here.
