this is the roadside motel type service. only plus I'd the small pool the have. bottom line. ..it is a dump..needs major updates in rooms. and overall. bed sheets are the cheap plastic kind. it's not dirty, but smelly and dated . 269 bucks is a rip off. .they can only charge that because of the vicinity to the ski areas. i understand
This property is consistently great! Updated, clean, great staff, exactly what I hope for every time! I'm a single traveler and they make it great for me. Will enjoy the hot tub before I leave. Thank you!
Everything was great. Staff is super friendly. Breakfast was awesome. Place is clean. Bike storage. Very professional. Everything was clean. Pool and hot tub. Super enjoyable. Staff was incredibly helpful at all times. No worries. No complaints.
Upon entering my room I was almost knocked down by the smell of carpet deodorizer or what smelled like Febreze (which is totally disgusting). I searched every outlet in the room hoping to find the plug-in culprit as another reviewer had found, but no luck. The smell was just too strong to even sleep. They are obviously trying to hide some sort of smell by using such a strong coverup. It caused a massive headache and terrible nights sleep. I didn't sleep at all, actually. The smell of the room lingered on my down parka and other clothing, I could smell it on my jacket when skiing the next day. Other cons: -lumpy pillows, dated and not comfortable at all -the smoke detector in the room was hanging by a coil of wire, not connected to the ceiling -It appears some people actually live in the hotel judging by the bikes and stuff on the patio next to my room -the smell of Indian food wafted throughout the hallways of the floor my unit was on, someone definitely lives in the hotel and was cooking -harsh chemical de-icers used around property not safe for dog paws, and can make them sick -coffee maker placed in the bathroom, where it is proven to test positive for fecal coliform (google it, this is fact), & the reservoir where you put the water in was incredibly dirty. I did not use it -room needed a serious deep-cleaning -inconsistent lighting in the room, different bulbs used, some were burnt out -general 'cheap' feel, not worth the price they charge in the wintertime -even though the hotel bills itself as non-smoking, smokers are free to stand right at the entrance and smoke, totally defeating the purpose of not having to breath in second-hand smoke or be anywhere near smokers, you can't escape it. pros -walking distance to brewery next door -easy access to freeway -girl with blonde hair at the front counter was congenial…
Not trustworthy. Two days after we left, they added a $20 pet fee for a nonexistent pet. I left the motel a phone message, and sent them an email, but never heard back. I suspect they randomly charge extra fees hoping people won't notice. I cannot recommend this motel.
I stayed there this weekend with my small dog. I thought $20 per day was very reasonable for a pet fee. The day after I checked out, I noticed a $60 charge on my credit card. When I called the property to ask what this charge was for, I was told that it was a carpet cleaning fee and that my dog had pooped on the carpet in three separate areas. When I told the manager there was no way this was the case as I was with my dog the whole time and left the room in great condition, he proceeded to YELL at me and accuse me of lying! I called Choice Hotels and was told that I needed to work this out with the manager. I'm out $60, was called a liar and yelled at. I've never had such a horrible experience at a hotel before.
We stopped on our way through Silverthorn. The hotel was an easy access off Hwy 70. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was quiet! Everything was just the way we wanted! If you are hungry, order Windy City Pizza! They’ll deliver, too!
This hotel’s location is certainly convenient to Breckenridge and surrounding areas. However, the hotel itself leaves MUCH to be desired. While it’s described as a no-frills, unfussy place to stay, it’s really just an overly redecorated lobby that serves as a blatant facade for an incredibly outdated and bleak facility. As we headed to our first-floor room, it was clear that the walls were paper-thin - judging from the audible conversations from nearby rooms, and the echoing screeches from the indoor pool down the hall. Upon entering our room, we were greeted with an overwhelming citrus scent - later determined to be a Glade plugin, turned on high and strategically placed to mask a heavy mix of sweat and body odor that permeated the entire room. Further, the beautiful “mountain views” that were advertised were instead a full closeup of the hotel next door. Thankfully, only one night was spent on the creaking, hard-as-a-rock bed. And as we checked out, it was no surprise that the front desk clerk didn’t bother to ask how our stay was - I doubt he’d actually want to hear the answer.…
Ashley is the manager of this hotel. When I tell you what an amazing person she is , please it because it is the truth. The last time I was here I was here for several weeks and Ashley gave me some bonus points because of the amount of time I had been here. That really touched my heart in so many ways. I honestly will continue to give my business to this hotel as long as Ashley is the manager. Ashley I really do appreciate you very much and I do mean that. Your kindness and your professionalism is above and beyond. You definitely are recognized for what you do and how you treat your guest. I have spent several thousands of dollars coming to this hotel and I will spend several more as long as the excellent customer service continues. Ashley you are an Angel. I personally thank you and appreciate you very, very much! Thank you very much!…
This property was the most expensive stay of our trip and while it was a nice property, in my opinion it was not worth what we paid (over $200). . Perhaps that is due to the area where it is located which is more summer vacation destination versus travelers passing through which was our situation. It is literally right off of I-70 which is why I chose this hotel. Even close to the interstate, it was very quiet. The staff was very nice and the room had everything we needed for our very brief stay.. I had two concerns about our stay. The first was the towels in the room. Typically most properties will have four large towels in the bathroom. My wife requires two towels, one for her and one for her hair. Our room only had two towels and they were the thinnest towels i have ever experienced. in any stay. anywhere. The second issue was the complimentary breakfast. There is nothing the property can do about it, but the breakfast area is very small.. What made it a real issue was a lot the staff eating in the breakfast room while the guest were trying to eat. I have no issue with the staff eating, but maybe they should get their meal and eat somewhere else and they should not be standing and eating in front of the food. Overall, the breakfast was good with plenty of cold and hot selections. I would recommend the property, just not at the price we paid.…
