Honestly, I had never been to Steamboat Springs, and we decided to stay at The Ptarmigan Inn because it was less expensive than other locations. What a great find! This Inn is nested between some fancier and bigger condos, but it fit our needs perfectly. There were plenty of places within walking distance with happy hour specials. Lots of good...

Our fastpitch softball team has stayed here for 3 years in a row and plan on staying next year. The pool is never crowded and Ben goes out of his way to help us with all of our needs. The bar staff is great to our parents also, Fantastic location and very little traffic. It is not 4 star and...

We wanted a cool weekend getaway and found Ptarmigan House #24 awaiting our arrival. It is a 4 person condo with a Murphy bed and pull out couch. We enjoyed watching the Tour de France on the TV. A special surprise was the beautiful hot tub/pool. It looked like it was straight out of Home and Gardens. The grill was...

We called last minute since we really did not know where this part of our trip would take us. They had one room left so we took it over the phone. What a lovely surprise! Not only was the price excellent for June but the room was very comfortable and clean. Had a small balcony as well, The pool was...

Literally slopeside right next to the gondola. Certainly the lodge is a bit dated but the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. For the price, it is absolutely worth checking out. Besides, after skiing all day all you need is a clean shower and a comfy bed that is close to a spot to grab a good bite.

This place is a dump!!!! Do not stay here. The smell in the room is bad! Your clothes will smell after staying here. We had to buy an air freshener and it did not help. The smell is bad. This place is stuck in the 70's. The bathroom is older than my first car! TV is horrible and very old....

Ski in, Ski out, right at the hill. Has a ski rental shop onsite and free ski / snowboard valet. Restaurant is excellent for breakfast. Rooms? Tired, tired, tired. Clean, but in serious need of a renovation.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel had a restaurant and bar if we didn't want to leave our place after a full day of skiing/boarding. They also had personal to valet your skis/boards with at the end of the day . I definitely would recommend it if the steam boat grand is out of your...

Our ski club stayed at the Ptarmigan Inn for our one week trip. The staff was very friendly and the manager Bill did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel restaurant was absolutely excellent, and the food was reasonably priced. We ate there almost every night. The room was cozy and the hotel location was...

You can't beat the Ptarmigan Inn for the best ski in ski out location at Steamboat. All staff members are friendly and helpful. In particular, General Manager, Ben Franko, does all he can to ensure that his guests enjoy their ski vacation and he addresses any concerns or requests quickly and efficiently. The on-site Snowbird Restaurant provides very good breakfast...
