To start this hotel is situated in the heart of the beautiful Vail Village. There are bus services that run for free to Lionshead. The rooms were nice and the bathroom large. When checking in, well trying to, i was stuck waiting for around 20 minutes behind someone with no acknowledgement that i was there. We were then told that...

I believe they should disclose that there's no true A/C available. There's an old school thermostat on the wall but the only thing it seems to do is to regulate the amount of heat you get. No cooling option, which in winter is not really a problem cause you open the balcony door and get as much of freezing air...

We stay at Pepi's every year. It has always been a wonderful place and our pick of everywhere in Vail. It's located in the center of the Village and close to the gondola, restaurants and shops. This year we were thrilled to arrive and see the beautiful updates, especially in the bar. You can't ask for better hospitality or a...

Don't fall for the fairytale family storyline on the website. This quaintly-titled Gasthof is staffed by utterly rude, incompetent, and confused individuals. We were misquoted, mistreated, and misinformed at each step of the reservation process. Our effort to book a weekend went through line staff, receptionists, and finally careless management who filled a conversation with nonstop garbage about what they...

We stayed here for a week over the Christmas holiday and we are returning guests. We liked the fact that the hotel is owner managed and we frequently encountered the gracious couple, Pepi and Mrs. G. during our stay. They were always very concerned that the entire staff looked after the needs of their guests. There is an extra daily...

I very much enjoyed my stay because it reminded me of Germany with all the quirks of a European hotel. But that means no AC or in wall fan. There is a free standing fan in the closet for your use. And although i liked the food very much, it was served in a tent attached to the building. Not cozy...

Room was so noisy, we were woken up at 1:40 am with people screaming in the streets and the room occupants next to us yelling off the balcony that people are trying to sleep. We should have known when earplugs were provided on the nightstand. The breakfast was meh, pastries and cold cuts ?? But the building is iconic, full...

To me, Gasthof Gramshammer IS Vail. Pepi's restaurant great for lunch/dinners, too. Great location, history, and charm. European feel in the Colorado Rockies. The family, Sheika and Pepi, are still involved in the ownership and management. They truly make us feel special to stay there. Seems like they still care. If you like large Las Vegas type bathrooms, may want...

Reminded me of when I was in Switzerland ski towns. Great atmosphere. Beautiful room. Quaint and quiet. Great customer service. Easy check in and check out. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Fall is a wonderful time of year in Vail.

How can you beat staying at the most famous hotel in Vail, boasting comfy rooms, great food , a fantastic staff, golden aspens and a warm welcome from Pepi himself. I've always wanted to stay here and, having scheduled a fall hike with my sister visiting from out-of-state, I found a more than reasonable rate. So fun to be in...
