It is always a pleasure returning to the Sonnenalp. The service is and always has been impeccable. The facilities are top-notch and nothing beats a buffet breakfast in Ludwig's. The Swiss Chalet restaurant is the closest you can come to a raclette stube in Zermatt without having to fly to Switzerland. The staff do their very best to make sure...

We had a magical stay in Sonnenalp, a beautiful hotel in the heart of Vail. He hotel is very well-situated, with its charming design and nice layout. The rooms are large and spacious, the bed is super comfortable, there is a fireplace in the room and a very nice bathroom. The hotel Spa is large and pleasant to lounge in....

My husband and I stayed here on a last-minute trip in April 2016. The property is so quaint and beautiful; we felt like we were in the European Alps (perhaps the name should indicate that). The spa was relaxing and beautiful. The restaurant/bar had a really nice, mountain vibe. Not sure I'd pay the in-season rates, but if you're looking...

The Sonnenalp was perfection from beginning to end. I traveled with my husband and 7-month-old daughter and a few of the highlights for us included: Location: The best! Walking distance to everything in Vail Village and the idyllic stream babbling beside the property will make you never want leave. Facilities: You will feel as if you are in the Alps,...

My now husband and I held our wedding weekend in mid-October 2016 at The Sonnenalp Hotel. The hotel executed a flawless weekend. Not a single detail was overlooked, thanks to the astute planning of Amy Lilyquist and spot-on execution of the f&b team -- Aaron Bajorek and Derek the banquet captain. All three days of our celebration - Friday's rehearsal...

We stayed 2 nights with friends at a great rate. The rooms are impeccable, rustic furniture, very tasteful decoration, lots of space, German type windows. Great attention to detail and the service was first class too. I can only recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy the mountains in a truly alpine settings.

We love this place and have come up several times for a quick getaway from Denver with the kids. This is a dog friendly hotel, although we rarely see very many other dogs. Love the room service, location, comfortable surroundings. Staff is very happy, and treat everyone with care and respect.

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Sonnenalp and wish we could have stayed a week! It is one of the most beautiful hotels we have had the pleasure to stay in, anywhere in the world. It is located right in the quaint town of Vail, giving you a perfect location to walk, hike the mountains, ski in winter, and...

This hotel is comfortable, very spacious and the rooms have huge bathrooms. The spa has an oxygen bar for those coming from lower altitudes and the hotel location is pretty perfect. The hotel also houses the Swiss Chalet which has amazing fondue. Beautiful place!
