From the moment we arrived, Jean made us feel welcomed and at ease. He took care of every request we had (and we had quite a few of them). It’s easy to get to the main Senggigi stretch for a massage/meal too (just get a Grab or Gojek). Will recommend The Puncak if you are looking for a relaxed, quiet, tropical getaway.
A big shout out to JP and Nuri. We stayed at The Puncak back in February, just before Covid started to become a thing here in Asia. Sorry it has been so long in posting a review, life got in the way! The week we spent at the Puncak was amazing, we really cannot recommend this place enough. The views, atmosphere, service and accommodation are all of the highest order. We had a fantastic time and hope JP, Nuri and The Puncak are al well in these uncertain times.
Thanks JP & Nuri for a wonder full stay over this year‘s Christmas period. The Puncak is truly to be recommended and the proactive service and care does go over and beyond expectations. Highly recommend this small boutique villa up in the hill for a stay to unwind and relax. Highly recommend also booking some local trips across the island... the bicycle tour organized via their partner was exceptional. The Puncak also offers dinner with a small menu and fantastic tasty food prepared by the owners themselves. Do ask for the Beef Rendang! Thanks for everything and see you again soon!
My wife and I spent three nights at The Puncak (which, not surprisingly, means 'The Summit' in Bahasa). It is indeed located near the top of a steep hill overlooking the water—some taxi drivers seemed to need a little coaxing to take their vehicles all the way. The owners Jean-Paul and Nury built The Puncak as a labor of love, and just imagining all the work they put in is staggering. We ended up being the only guests during our stay, so the quiet location was made even more quiet. Upon arrival our bed frame was covered in dozens of fresh flowers from outside, and each morning we were served a sumptuous breakfast of eggs, yogurt, fruits, and more outside our room. The room itself was very spacious—but unfortunately that meant the AC unit struggled to cool the air, making the nights fairly warm. Location-wise you're about an hour from the airport, 10min from the restaurants of Senggigi, and 30min from Bangsal, where you can catch boats to the Gilis. Aside from relaxing in the infinity pool, there's not much to do here on the grounds. If you're looking for an affordable, secluded base for Lombok lounging, this is it!…
2nd visit to Puncak. We love it. Attention to detail and personal feel is of highest quality. Jean-Paul is a perfect hoste. Place makes you feel a million dollars without the tag. With such good competition in the Lombok hills they have clearly brought something special to this little haven. We will undoubtedly return. Darren, Maria Markham
Fabulous views. Beautiful accomodation..everything has been thought of . Feels like a private piece of paradise. We will be back. Thanks to the fabulous hosts.. The puncak is in the hills above senggiggi beach.. get there by scooter or taxi
We stayed last month and we were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves as there were no other guests at that time. We had our choice of rooms by either of the 2 long lap pools and looking out over the ocean and Mt Agung (only saw it during sunset for some reason. Amazing sunsets, great views, room large enough for 2 of us with our suitcases. Plenty of great amenities but the highlight of this place is the breakfasts!! Unbelievable. You get to choose the night before what hot breakfast you want and the owners go to the market and get in fresh ingredients fr you You then get french pressed coffee, any juice, a yukult! toast, and your breakfast with a plate of fresh fruit plus pastries. It was too much food but fantastic. The meals here were great, you just need to let JP and his wife know beforehand so they can prepare. The owners and their staff went out of their way to help you and advise you on anything. They were so accommodating!! Relaxing, restful and peaceful. Very pretty place with great views but quiet. You can take a cheap taxi into town which is only 10 mins away. Or hire a moped to get around. The Puncak is more suited to couples or friends travelling together, Not really set up for kids but older kids would be fine. A wonderful stay. Thanks JP. …
We have visited a lot of places over the past few years and this has been one of our favourite stays. It is in a stunning setting and the hosts, Jean-Paul and Nury, are one of the nicest couples we have ever met. They can't do enough for you. The hotel is based in a brilliant location, overlooking Senggigi and having the amazing backdrop of Mount Angung over the water. The sunset is guaranteed to be beautiful every night! It was my birthday whilst we stayed and we decided to have dinner at the hotel. Nury is a great cook and we had a lovely meal, topped off with a big slice of cake! If you ever consider exploring Indonesia, make sure Lombok is on your list. We were previously in Singapore and Bali but this was our favourite. Mostly due to the kindness of the hosts ensuring our stay was the best it could be! Thank you Jean-Paul and Nury, we will be sure to return in the future! :) …
An absolutely amazing relaxing place to stay. The food was fantastic, the room was spotless and that view is breathtaking. Thank you jean-paul, nury and the rest of the team. We will definitely be back.
