We rented a car upon arrival in Quito and headed straight for this beautiful place, at less than 1 hour drive from the Airport and nicely situated en-route to the Cotopaxi Reserve (where we wanted to go the next day). Unfortunately, our booking had not reached the owner, who (luckily we managed to contact him) came to open the door... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was incredible. We stayed in a Honeymoon Suite which had a big jetted tub with marvelous view. This resort is perfectly located in range of mountains with incredible billion $$ view. Raul (the manager) is very attentive and helpful. He goes extra mile to make sure the visitors are having... This is quite a special place! Run by a Gentlewoman farmer, Maria del Carmen Albuja who will spoil you no end! She is not only very witty, knowledgeable, charming and wise but also runs this farm with contemporary great guest rooms, superb staff and delightful food....This Country Hotel will give you a sight of the very active Cotopaxi volcano without... Totally recommendable for a nice stay in Quito but without the traffic and stress in downtown. Great contact to nature as it's surrounded by a beautiful landscape and there's even view to mountains and Cotopaxi volcano. Hosts are very kind people and bring personalized attention, the bamboo chimney inside the bedroom was a nice surprise, if night gets cold. There's... More

My partner and I stayed at Sierra Alisos for one night and loved every moment of it. The hotel feels more like someone's private home and is beautifully designed by the owner Raul, a former interior designer. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and there is a lot of attention to detail. The food from the restaurant is gourmet quality... More

I stayed only one night in this hotel as I was travelling through, but the homely atmosphere and the nice rooms (with private wood-fired heater) made me feel welcome in no time. This is a great place to relax for a while away from all the stress. The best part for me was a tour through the cloud forest that's... More

I spent just one night in this homey, beautifully furnished hacienda hotel and already plan on going back for more. The view all around can only be described as spatacular. Yes, the road to the place could be improved but you forget about it as soon as you step out of the car. The staff is multitasking fixing fabulous meals... More

The 3.5 km. route up from the Highway was not the easiest, very rough, sometimes quite steep, cobbled and dirt laneway, but - on arrival, well worth the anxious moments. The countryside is just spectacular, and the Hotel itself just lovely, very interesting architecture, very well laid out and with spacious bedrooms, all with large en-suite bathrooms. The breakfast, included... More

I stayed at this beautiful finca for Christmas with my husband. Actually, we wanted to visit Quilotoa loop but could not find any vacancy around. Sierra Alisos is located between Quito airport and Quilotoa loop - a great location to stay! It is pure nature, a warm and tranquil atmosphere! The food - thanks to Marco and Mario - is... More
