I've never given a bad review on trip advisor, but I am compelled to write about my experience at the Boardman House. Or I should say my experience on the front steps of the Boardman House, as I was not allowed in. My family and I were on a boat trip up the Connecticut River. The kids (ages 4,6,8) and...

The reviewer made the reservation for two people in one room, conveniently excluding the fact that they actually were going to be five people, which would have prompted us to inquire about the other three people. The reviewer claims that we neglected to mention that children under 12 are not allowed, when it in reality was the reviewer who didn’t...

My fiance and I had a wonderful stay at the Boardman House Inn. The inn was clean and comfortable. The owner, Mia, was super friendly and gave us ideas for things to do in the area. The breakfast was delicious. We also really enjoyed the nearby town and scenic areas. It was a perfect relaxing getaway and just what we...

The inn is nicely decorated and comfortable but a bit Spartan in its amenities. For example there are only shampoo and bath wash in the bathroom, no conditioner or body lotion. Some sort of snack would be nice to make available such as a bowl of fruit or plate of cookies in the afternoon. Breakfast is by pre-order and again...

This was our first visit to the Boardman House but certainly will not be our last. It is a beautiful property with gorgeous, pristine rooms. They have done a wonderful job reviving this house. Our hostess, Mia, was great. She had a lot of knowledge about the area and gave us great advice what to see and where to dine.

My husband and I stayed here during July 4th weekend and we had a lovely time. The individual rooms are very beautifully decorated and Mia cooks a delicious breakfast each morning. The inn is centrally located to many quaint towns and tourist attractions, though you may equally enjoy yourself relaxing in the backyard or on one of the porches. We...

The Inn is as lovely in person as it is on the website. We chose this spot for our wedding anniversary and it could not have been more perfect! It has been meticulously renovated with attention to detail and the furnishing are top of the line. Our personable host, Mia, made wonderful breakfasts for us of pancakes and french toast....

If there was a 4.5 star I would award it. There really isn't anything I didn't like about the Boardman House Inn. The host/owner is terrific, with 12 years at the property, the breakfast was delicious (perfect French Toast) and location ideal for our visit to The Franklin Academy. She also made a couple of recommendations that only a local...
