I've been to a few B&Bs and I can say for certain that so far the hosts at Bartlett Farm have been the most welcoming. They truly make you feel at home. If you love animals you'll love it here. There's a dog, cats, chicken, deer and a gorgeous peacock, to name a few. Homemade breakfast was great and the... More

My husband and I stayed here with our two girls who are 15- and 11-years old. Our accommodations were spotless and very comfortable, and the breakfast was superb: eggs, bacon, fruit, homemade scones, homemade sourdough bread. Diane and Sam are very friendly, and made us feel at home. When we were pulling out of the driveway, the kids asked when... More

We enjoyed a peaceful and pleasant weekend at Bartlett Farms. Wonderful hosts and delicious breakfast. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. Diana gave us great advice on local hiking. Definitely recommend!

The house is comfortable and inviting, the Bartlett family are all a joy to be around, the breakfasts are tasty and plentiful, the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. My Wife and I stayed three days and enjoyed every one of them immensely. The bed in the Aunt Bertha room is the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in, no... More

Room, food, owners were all above superb. This is a hidden gem. We have typically staid in hotels on past trips to CT, but no more! My wife and will definitely return. The Bartletts truly make you feel like you are right at home.

My husband and I recently stayed here along with our 12 month old daughter. We were in town visiting family and exploring the area. We were looking for a charming b and b and we definitely found it! The Bartlett Inn is beautiful, clean, quiet....everything one would expect of a nice b and b and more. Diana and Sam were... More

We made a last minute reservation last October to stay for 2 nights with our 8 month old mid week. We were the only people staying at the house. We were able to put our baby to sleep in our room and relax in the Great room. Owners were very accommodating and even did a load of laundry for us!... More

We were looking for a quiet, informal, and friendly place to stay while visiting friends on the shore. We found it! The farmhouse has great character and so do Sam & Diana Bartlett. They were very helpful in advising us on things to see and do in the area as well as suggesting a delicious restaurant. They always say, ask... More

The farm's just ten minutes north of I-95, but the peace of it--vast covered porch, clucking chickens, hills and woods and no visible neighbors--calmed our day's highway nerves faster than an icy gin and tonic. There's nothing chic or even very b&bish about the place: The Bartletts are a busy farm family with teens, and they rent spiffed-up rooms in... More

“My husband and I loved Aunt Bertha's room. Quite cozy, but if you want room space, choose one of the other two rooms.”

“The Guest Room, our $160 high-end unit on the house's front, features a queen bed and a double, and in one corner, a nattily engineered triangular bathroom with a curtain but no door. It's as blissfully quiet as any farm in the world after dusk. A tip for leisurely travelers: We hiked nearby Bluff Head (elev. 500 feet) in the morning for spiritual renewal. From outcroppings on the well-marked, one-hour r/t trail, we could see Long Island Sound to the south and Hartford's skyline to the north. On that summer weekday morning, we saw no other souls.”

“The Guest room has 2 beds, 1 full, 1 3/4 full and is the biggest with a separate bathroom. The Winter room is next in size with bathroom within the room , 1 full and 1 3/4 full bed. Aunt Bertha's room is the smallest, a little tight but has a king size bed and bathroom with in the room.”
