From the moment you drive down the driveway you know you're someplace special. Warm and inviting, gorgeous setting and meticulous with detail this B&B feels like home, one you want to move into. Maryan and Jeff were delightful and felt like old friends from the first moments until the last. They know and have lived in the area for a...

Visited the area while looking for property to purchase. This B&B made a whirlwind shopping trip beautiful, relaxing, and calming. Host and hostess were engaging, interesting, and a wealth of knowledge with just the right amount of interaction. We felt completely at ease grabbing an early morning cup of coffee and enjoying the beautiful porch. We looked forward to a...

This is an excellent B&B with a wonderful couple managing. Breakfast was delicious tailored to my needs. Perfect location for my family genealogy searches in Haddam! Very easy to set up and very easy to find.

Stayed in the Toile Room (2 twin beds) with my daughter for a college visit to Wesleyan. Maryann and Jeff could not have been any nicer. They found a great place for us to eat and insisted on printing out directions. The delicious blueberry pancake breakfast powered us through our day. Would love to return to stay in the fall...

I can't say enough about this beautiful B&B! Four of us stayed in The Carriage House guest cottage which was stunningly decorated and so warm and welcoming! The owners, Maryan and Jeff, were wonderful and so accommodating! We visited several of the surrounding towns and had a great time! We will definitely be back to stay and hopefully for more...

We stayed for two nights in the Nehemiah Brainerd and it was wonderful. Our room (the Library) was extremely comfortable and we had the best sleep! Maryan and Jeff are wonderful hosts. Very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts are very sociable occasions. The food is excellent but don't rush away - you'll miss all the fun! There are no restaurants within...

We initially booked our room on the internet, received a confirmation of our request but not that the room was confirmed. When my wife and I arrived (traveller's from the UK on a tour of New England) the Inn Keepers Maryan and Geoff were surprised to see us, they had emailed us earlier to say they were not taking guests...

Sadly we could only stay for one night but our hosts could not have been more welcoming and we had such an interesting and lively discussion over breakfast. They advised where to go for dinner and helped us on our way the next day. Hopefully we can visit again.

I stayed her with my mother in the Toile Room at the end of August. First time here, first time in this part of the state. It couldn't have been more perfect. The location, house and grounds, food, and hosts were wonderful. When they tell you to make yourself at home, they truely mean it. I wish I had more...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Nehemiah Brainerd House B&B for the second time. We so enjoyed our first visit that we decided to visit again – and it was just as pleasant and enjoyable as the first time. The owners of the inn are welcoming, gracious, and great conversationalists, with many stories, a wonderful and easy sense...
