A typical New England bed-and-breakfast place. Some areas need upgrade and modern amenities. The rooms are rather small but adequate for a short stay. The breakfast was excellent, tasty omelettes of your choice, sausage, and everything else if you need cereal etc. Arrive before seven pm, otherwise it's a bit complicated to enter.

Thank you for taking the time to review the bed & breakfast. We are in a constant state of upgrading our facility. If there was something specific you noticed please let me know so I can address it Our late arrival procedures are really very simple and are a welcome process for those guests arriving late. We had a really great time at the Seahorse. Michael was a fantastic host and could not have been more helpful with really great tips on the surrounding area. The whole house and gardens were beautiful. Breakfast was great meeting new friends from Vancouver and NewYork. Hope to visit again in the future.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm beyond happy that you found our home to be exactly what you hoped for on your vacation. I couldn't agree more that breakfast time is a highlight when you are here. Meeting folks from all walks of life and all over the world helps make great memories. See you again soon....

Inn is nice looking from outside and inside. Our room had cracks in the ceiling and walls; in need of paint; an apparent closet that was turned into a tiny make shift bathroom with a circular plastic shower that you could hardly move in. The web picture shows one wall not the entire room. Breakfast was marginal. Maybe the other...

Very sorry your experience with us was not up to your expectations. I don't disagree with you on the cracks in some walls. I do paint and repair as times allows. I imagine when someone like you who owns a construction business sees a crack they have a differing opinion of it than most of my travelers who set it...

We had a very pleasant one night stay at the inn. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, there was a fun selection of DVDs, and breakfast was delicious. The grounds and porch could use a bit of upkeep (other nearby homes have very impressive gardens, so by comparison the inn's grounds were pretty modest). The website states that included...

Thank for taking the time to review your stay. My apologies about the wine and cheese - I have scoured the web site and cannot find where it indicates that we still do wine and cheese. I don't do wine and cheese in the summer simply because my guests are typically too busy and I found myself having wine and...

This is an amazing place to stay. The location, ambiance, owner, cleanliness etc could not have been better. The breakfast was to die for and the owner, Michael, tells you each morning about the breakfast goodies he has prepared. The tomatoes came out of his garden! Thank you, Michael, for everything. You were so accommodating to us and made us...

Thank you Michael for a wonderful getaway on our road trip. A last minute booking, the Seahorse was as charming as its name. With private baths (and a jacuzzi tub in our room), quirky appointments and very comfortable beds, our brief stay was excellent. The visit was topped off by an amazing breakfast which was worth the price alone and...

My wife and I took an upstairs room for much of June (about 3 weeks) and enjoyed the proximity of the inn to "downtown" Madison; the shore was maybe a 15 min walk away. Several good restaurants were within easy walking distance and the railway station was about a 10min walk away. The beds were comfy and the A/C effective;...

Many thanks for taking the time to write about us - it is so much appreciated to read your thoughtful comments. We loved Scranton Seahorse Inn! My husband and I escaped for a kid-free weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The inn is immaculately clean and beautifully styled. Michael is a charming and informative host who is thankfully also a fine chef. Breakfasts were delicious and creative. The morning coffee was tasty and endlessly flowing. The Inn's location in downtown Madison...

Visited multiple years for girls' weekend with high school friends. Can't imagine having our weekend any other place. Michael is the penultimate host -- he anticipated all our needs well in advance of our stay and made all of the weekends perfect. Food is supreme and I highly recommend the Inn.
