We go with the whole family every year. They take reservations and provide helmets. The staff is friendly, and the park is small. Win-win. The tubing is well organized, and we have a blast. Haven't tried skiing yet, but it's on the list of things to do!

This place looks much better than the last time I was here 2 years ago, they have a nice lodge, cafeteria, restaurant, bathrooms with changing rooms, lockers and more it's a big improvement. Still very close to New Haven and really cheap prices on lift tickets. Enjoy it quietly during week days, not crowded at all today.

My children (ages 5 and 7) have had their best season yet thanks to the amazing instruction provided at Powder Ridge. My husband and I are so thankful that they made such tremendous strides this year and we can plan our first "family" ski trip away for next winter. Super pleased.

This place is great for learning to ski but that's where it stops. They need to hire adults that actually need a job and care about customer service. The kids could careless if you are there or not. You can't get the ski package for longer then 4 hours you have to pay another 49 dollars for the other 4...

I signed up to go with a group of friends, thinking I might try this for a couple of runs, and then wait in the coffee area for the rest of the group to finish. Surprise! I had the time of my life and made 16 runs in 2 hours. Feeling like a kid again, I tried all but the...

Powder Ridge has come a long way and is only getting better. Their new restaurant, Fire at the Ridge, has the best food/service around. Even if you're not a skier, it's worth visiting just to eat and drink. There is a nice tavern area in addition to a fine dining restaurant. They also have a cafeteria area, which is nice...

5 stars for being 30 min from my house! **NOTE, this is NOT a destination ski place (locals will be thrilled though). I have skied all over the world from Nagano to Park City to Gstaad and all over New England.** The bunny slope is the perfect place for a small child (or any beginner) to learn how to ski....

A great place to spend a family day on the slopes. Pros - easy drive, clean, not crowded, kids friendly, great instructors, and reasonable prices. Cons - not for advance skiers. I read a lot of negative reviews from last year and I think they have made some improvements since and should deserve another chance.

This place is great for learning snowsports but, not much else. You can skate down the steepest part of the hill. If I were a passholder, I'd buy one at any other CT hill next year as they did a terrible job of opening terrain. Mohawk and Sundown can be fully open in about 3 days of snowmaking. Powder Ridge...

This is a modest, family oriented ski area with focus on beginner skiers. The resort has a mandatory requirement on wearing helmets for all skiers regardless of age. They can be rented ($11) at the mountain if you don't have one. Be aware the wait for helmets can eat into your ski day, so plan accordingly. The terrain was OK...
