I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my stay at the Mermaid Inn-the room was beautifully decorated and the furnishings were true to the New England style and mystique that I grew up with. The inn is well kept and well thought out and the food was unreal! You could have breakfast at a five star restaurant but you would not get better...

We really enjoyed this terrific B&B. Very convenient to everything in Mystic. The breakfasts were wonderful, and the snacks and treats were unexpected and awesome. The hosts were totally welcoming. There was a minor repair job going on on the front porch when we were there, so the host included a complementary bottle of wine for the "inconvenience" (which didn't...

My husband and I stayed here during a weekend in February. Although the weather outside was cold, the ambience inside was warm and cozy. Josephine spared no expense at making us feel at home. We had warm cookies waiting for us with fresh tea and coffee. Our room was nicely renovated with special add ons such as chocolate, liquor, and...

My sister and I have been staying here since it opened and come once or twice a year. It is the type of place that makes you feel like one of the family. The house is so cozy, if you go in the Summer you will have a wonderful 3 course breakfast outside on the gazebo and enjoy a beautiful...

The Mermaid Inn was a great bed and breakfast with nice decor and friendly hosts. The breakfast each day was more than excellent- we didn't have to eat lunch either day because breakfast was so big! It was also great that we could not only choose options for breakfast, but also that we could choose the time we wanted it...

We were in town for a concert and could not have been more pleased to stay at the Mermaid Inn. The rooms were beautifully painted & decorated. We felt so comfortable. Everything was amazing from the fresh baked cookies on the table when we came in to the 3 course breakfast! The inn keepers here have done exactly what travelers...

We were hesitant about staying in a B&B for a business meeting. It turned out to be the best meeting we have ever had. Environment encourages creativity and team building. Besides the good food and comfort, internet access large rooms to meet in and great downtown location. Some team members walked downtown and sat on the dock for their brainstroming...

This is a charming, friendly, positively LOVELY B&B ideally located near all the Mystic sites. Fluffy pillows, comfortable beds, private baths & beautfully appointed rooms with wonderfully indulgent extras such as flat screen tv, fluffy robes, a mini-fridge with beverages, chocolates & Courvoisier. A welcoming, relaxing environment with cookies, tea coffee, beverages and wonderful hosts. And wow can they cook!...

Excellent service. The team clearly prides themselves in ensuring their guests are well fed and taken care of. The breakfast is multiple fabulous courses: baked apple compote, flakey pear pastry, granola and flax seed with homemade yogurt, a broccoli egg white omelet and the best bacon in CT! Warm cookies upon arrival and quiet rooms considering they were very close...

Josephine runs the most wonderful B&B! I found the Blue Room pleasing and comfortable, and felt right at home both upstairs and down. (Josephine will converse if you want to, but not if you'd rather not.) Best, best, best of all, Josephine's breakfasts are simply amazing--from the fresh-squeezed juice to the challah French toast, pear tart, and perhaps the best...
