My second visit this month. 1st visit had cold meat on buffet & veg that looked a week old. 2nd visit find only decaf coffee in room. Am told it is all they have. SERIOUSLY? This is supposed to be a 4star establishment!

This hotel is wonderfully situated. It is overlooking the sea, around the corner from shops and supermarkets, close to the university and just down the road to the city. The staff provide an amazing customer experience. Check-in was quick and smooth. Cherylanne and Tashne were friendly, helpful and professional. The bedrooms were spotless, and had everything one needed to enjoy...

The positives- great view of the ocean out the window, nice restaurant (De Kelder) attached The negatives- For some reason, you only get 500MB of internet usage. This was gone in about 20 minutes and was very frustrating. Additionally, our shower leaked and our key card inexplicably stopped working partway through our one night stay.

We stayed her for 3 nights, had a loft room which was very spacious and good view of the beach. The room had a small kitchen area which we found very useful. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the hotel. We had only one meal at the adjacent De Kelder restaurant located within the hotel,...

We arrived in port Elizabeth at approximately 7pm. the check in was easy and the rooms were spacious. We never ate in the hotel but the breakfast next morning was very good. after breakfast we checked out and moved on with our journey after a brief walk along the sea front which was pleasant and warm.

We often have breakfast at this hotel and cannot complain about the food or selection, but the service is not too good. The last time we had dinner at this Hotel, we vowed never to try that again. When we tried to book for a Valentine's evening out, every place we wanted to go to, was fully booked. As the...

The thing that made this hotel good was the location - right on the beach, perfectly placed for a wonderful morning walking along the front dolphin-spotting. I imagine the rooms at the front do have lovely views, sadly we were stuck looking at a car park. We only ate breakfast here but it was really nice - a good selection,...

Spent one night here. Check-in was reasonably easy and getting to the room ok. the room was clean and quiet with a nice view of the ocean. The breakfast buffet was very nice with many choices, both hot and cold. The restaurant staff was very cold and uninviting, almost surgical in the way they moved about the restaurant. No friendly...

So we've stayed in Protea Hotels lately. They're usually great and this one was no exception. The rooms were nothing special but what one expects. Where this hotel beats the Karridene hotel on the Natal South Coast is the breakfast. Exactly what I'm used to. Everything fresh and a huge selection. Good work to the chef and staff. Towels were...

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Rooms clean and functional. Nice bathroom but a bit small. Very comfy beds and pillows. Breakfast adequate but the hotel is let down by miserable surly staff. Not everyone I must add. We were greeted at breakfast by a lovely lady and the reception staff in the morning were nice but...
