My wife and I returned here for an overnight getaway after a 15-year absence. It was even better than we remembered. We stayed in the Robert Frost room, cozy and comfortable especially with the fireplace. Quiet rooms and setting. 5 to 10 minutes from all...More
The Old Mystic Inn was the perfect place for us - it is absolutely beautiful. From the time I booked our reservation until we left the Innkeeper, Michael, was gracious and made sure we were comfortable. The Louisa Mae Alcott room was cozy. We arrived...More
Old Mystic Inn was a great choice. The food was great and people were nice. The rooms were nicely done and in a separate building than the main house which was convenient.
Overall a great stay, we will definitely be back!

In a world of Airbnb, this place reminds you what a professional B/B can offer! Distinctive, beautiful and a sense of New England history. And breakfasts that are delicious and works of art! Many thanks, Michael!

The Thoreau as it is located off the Keeping Room and near the kitchen and dining room is usually quiet. The Main Inn sits up close to the road so perhaps road traffic could be an issue if you are lite sleepers. Most of my guests have enjoyed staying in the Thoreau Room except for the fact of the road traffic. The Keeping room does not really gather much guests as all Tv's are located in the guest rooms. We look forward to you staying with us sometime soon. Kind Regards, Michael
