We stayed at the Japanese Garden T-house for a little more than 2 months, from mid October to mid December. To make it easier for everyone, I'll talk about the different aspects separately: -Location: Really beautiful location, right next to the rice fields (not our house, but the pool was), very green and quiet. Definitely recommended if you don't want...

Our family of four spent three nights during Christmas time at Lemon Grass house and loved it. First some warnings. T house is not exactly within walking distance from Ubud town. The locals I talked to said it will take around thirty minutes walking through the paddy field (not an easy walk especially after some rain) to get to Ubud...

Firstly the positives: If you are looking for a small, rice-paddy view house in a quiet location outside Ubud this may be the right place for you. Though we (4 people) found it a bit too small. The view is great though, right onto the paddy fields. However, there were a few problems with this villa. 1 There isn't really...

This is the second time that I have stayed at Green T House in T House Klod and it was every bit as relaxing and enjoyable as the first time. It's a great option for self-catering as well as for those who want to eat out in Ubud but also want to stay away from the (increasingly) busy town centre....

This review is about Villa Chai. We have not stayed here, but would like warn future guests about the owner's attitude. My sister-in-law fell in love with the pictures of Villa Chai and it was our no. 1 choice of villa rental in Ubud. I & my father in law initiated the email conversation with Gerry, who in the owner...

We absolutely loved out time at Lemongrass (Bali T House klod). The large, covered outdoor living area and kitchen overlooked rice paddies and was a cool and comfortable place to relax, and the prefect spot for an evening cocktail. The people at T house were great, the kids loved the pool which was close by and it was very easy...

The houses have different owners and different styles and you book with the owners. We stayed at the T House Kaja site in the house Lapsang Sushong. A two-storey house with open bedrooms. You get a lovely view from the masterbedroom over the ricefields. It's terrible if you're a light sleeper (like me), because you hear all sounds of nature...

the location is in the middle of ricefields - a 4 Euro taxi ride away from the center. Very friendly staff. The houses come along with a breakfast, lundry and dinner service at reasonable prices! For 100k (equal to 10 Euro), my wife got a massage. In other words - if you do not need bulky 5 star hotels -...

We absolutely loved our stay in Bali T House. We really loved the unpretentious but refined style of our villa (Hojoki), being immersed in nature, the lack of poshness, the relaxing atmosphere, the pool on the rice paddies, and a good breakfast prepared for us every morning in our villa by the staff. In that context, the lack of aircon...

We stayed here for 6 weeks in early 2011. It's a family friendly location with a number of families staying in the compound. Staff are friendly, and we were pleased that breakfasts were included in the cost as it meant we didn't have to worry about getting out and about until mid morning. Our only issue was the dogs we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Absolutely stunning 1-3 bedroom private villas in a traditional rice farming and carving village only 5 minutes from central Ubud. Daily maid and breakfast service included. Beautiful shared pool with ricefield views. Unlike many other Balinese complexes, the unique Bali T Houses offers visitors the chance to stay in an environmentally friendly and ecologically sustainable compound, which is also part of Balinese village life and culture. Therefore there is the opportunity for much interaction with the local people and animals, whom you will observe working in rice-fields and gardens, dogs, roosters, cows, chickens, and so on, as well as passing through the houses walkways and working around them during their daily routines. If you're looking for a serene villa miles from village life this is not the place. ... more   less

“Houses at T House Kaja are better situated with more privacy than those at T House Klod. Heliconia has probably the nicest layout while Villa Mateh has a charming bedroom loft that overlooks the rice fields and large outdoor deck that's perfect for yoga or meditation. At T House Klod, Lemongrass is very spacious and good for large groups, but suffers from poor lighting in the indoor living room and ridiculous bathroom facilities. English Breakfast has a cute outdoor deck overlooking the rice paddies but is not so private due to proximity with rice fields.”
