Lovely historical home close to the casinos and to Mystic. Each room is furnished with antiques and is full of character. Several of the rooms are said to be haunted. The innkeepers are friendly folk who serve a huge breakfast of eggs, breakfast meat, potatoes, pancakes, home-made jams, juice and coffee. The inn is cozy and has a game room... More

My husband and I really enjoyed it - the history, antiques, very comfortable. Carol and ted are good hosts. The other guests at breakfast seem to have experienced some jiggling of doorknobs and unexamined footsteps, but alas we did not experience any haunting.

We just spent our 35 year wedding anniversary in the quaint and comfortable Adelaide room. We spent the day in Mystic Seaport and showed up in the afternoon being met by Ted who showed us around the house. He suggested a great Italian restaurant where we had a great meal before gambling at Mohegan Sun. We woke to an incredible... More

Always waiting to greet guests and make them comfortable, in so many ways! The Inn is like an old home, with comfortable and cozy seating areas, baked goods , and a glass of wine ready to be shared. Great conversations and welcoming hearts, comfortable bedrooms and nice amenities. Easy sitting porches overlooking lawn and fields, and spectacular breakfasts. Ted and... More

I bought tickets a couple months ago to see Fergie at Mohegan Sun. It was a wonderful show by the way. I started looking at hotels for a Sat night stay and the casino itself wanted $600. Out of my budget, The nice hotels in the area were all booked up, so decided to look at B&B's. Most places require... More

Let me first start by saying that the owners Carol and Ted are lovely people. They are knowledgeable about the area and have been doing this for over two decades. They have interesting stories about the inn including stories about how the inn is occupied by spirits. Ask them how they met. If you are looking for perfection, then do... More

This place was exactly the way it was described, and viewed! We stayed in the Adalaide room, which was super cozy! There are many spirits at this Inn, and we may have encountered, a few! It seems that Mercy (Adalaide), fragranced our room every time we entered it, we tried to debunk it, but Carol says she doesn't put any... More

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Ted,1 of the owners. We were shown around the house. Beautiful! Understand, this is by no means a 5 star hotel but it was such an honest, down to earth place. Cookies, brownies, free drinks..i grew up on well water so it was refreshing. The smell of breakfast wafting upstairs when i got... More

Based on the website we did not have super high expectations, but we thought it would be worth the try. We were grateful that we were able to get the room for one night on a weekend! The home is set in a nice spot and we enjoyed walking on the property. There was a game room with a pool... More

First of all thank you for your thoughts. Although your review is damaging it also helps us to keep on our toes. For other guests that may read your review I want to address some of what you said. We have a grand staircase. It is seven feet wide and is built to the standards of 1754. In 1996 we... More
