Upon pulling into the long tree lined driveway, I was captured by a winding brook, the sweeping lawns, and park like setting of the grounds surrounding the almost Palladian style of this local family owned motel. Checking in, I was greeted with friendly smiles across the board by staff and ownership just chock full of helpful information about the area and office amenities that I was welcomed to use at my discretion. The room itself was not only spotless, but well appointed with every possible amenity. The furnishings in the room were exquisitely lush, elegant, and far exceeded my expectations for the price I paid for it! There’s a farm market/grocery located across the street, some local shops, a post office, and a hospital all within walking distance. Really big value here and perfect for anyone doing business or visiting this beautiful, little known corner of New England. The atmosphere and elegance here rival that of the finest hotels, and I’ve already recommended it to my colleagues.

the property is exquisite. everything is well manicured and there is a delightfully sounding stream that brings a sense of calm. stayed in the annex, a newer part of the property. it was like a home away from home and beautifully decorated. they supply fragrant gilchrist and soames branded shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion to complement the luxurious feel of the property. they have a towel warmer in the room, soft towels and bathrobes for guests.

This hotel is amazing they make you feel right at home and comfortable. The rooms are very cozy and if you need anything, the staff is very responsive, it is set in a lovely area and it’s very peaceful and quiet. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Place is clean and beautiful. However, they have a very strict towel fee if you stain any of their towels, they will charge you $350 without any proof or ability to question. We were charged this fee simply by then telling us we had stained a towel and they couldn’t bleach it out, but did not provide anymore information than this. Additionally, $350 seems VERY steep for one hotel towel (they were your average hotel towels that are probably bought in bulk at cost for $5). If you stay here I’d honestly recommend bringing your own towels to avoid any possibility of being charged this fee (which is more than a night stay). They are open about these fees but provide no transparency when a “stain” occurs.

We appreciate you taking the time to write this review and we respect your feedback. We enjoyed hosting all of your friends and other members who were part of your wedding block! Thank you for acknowledging that our Inn is beautiful and clean, and as you saw we buy all of our towels from Macy’s Hotel Collection, which are expensive and of high quality. My housekeeping and front desk staff try their best to maintain this reputation, and when guests destroy our towels we do implement a high fee in order to avoid throwing our towels away. We had a full house this weekend, and unfortunately, the only towels we had to throw away came from your room. When my front desk receptionist addressed this incident, you apologized to her and nonchalantly agreed to the charges. We try our best to be accommodating and understanding, and that’s why we always offer extra makeup wipes / handy down towels to guests when they check in to use for purposes other than drying. Nonetheless, we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us!

Thank you Eddie for a wonderful stay at the Sharon County Inn. Never have I stayed somewhere where the owner made it his personal mission for my friends and I to have an amazing stay!! Taxis were difficult to coordinate and when I arrived from Manhattan Eddie had someone pick me up from the train station with a sign :) not only then, but when our cab cancelled on a Sunday morning, Eddie drove us personally to the station so that we could make our train and flight back home. Not only with this, but the rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable with lots of space to unpack and feel right at home :) ABSOLUTELY would recommend to anyone staying in the area!!

We stay at this property every year for an event at Lime Rock Park. Not only is it close to the track, but the property itself is such a breath of fresh air compared to the chain hotels our group normally stays in. Whether we are in the main rooms of the inn or the newly built Annex building, we always know Eddie and his team will provide us with whatever we need to make our stay exceptional. The property itself is beautifully maintained and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. I can’t recommend the Sharon Country Inn enough!

The Inn was beautiful, clean, had comfortable beds and a well stocked ‘serve yourself’ breakfast! The landscaping was impeccable and the host, Eddie, was so helpful and friendly and he took care of everything we needed from a bottle opener to directions to sightseeing recommendations. I would highly recommend this Inn for comfort, security, cleanliness and convenience. It is located right in the heart of town with a restaurant, gas station, pharmacy, liquor store, dress shop, post office, bank and grocery store within a short walking distance. Lovely all around!

My wife, daughter, and I were involved in a car accident on a family roadtrip as we were passing through Connecticut near Sharon. The owner of the Sharon Country Inn, Edi, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. He picked us up from the local hospital and took us to the inn, made us comfortable for the night, arranged to allow us to get some dinner even at a late hour, and could not have been more kind during what was a very stressful situation for our family. The rooms are comfortable, very clean, and featured fast and free Wi-Fi. The grounds of the inn are very well manicured and the tree-lined driveway made for a lovely walk. The complimentary breakfast featured bagels, muffins, juices, coffee, and donuts. Although our visit was unplanned, we hope to return to Sharon one day and would definitely stay here again. The Sharon Country Inn is indeed a rare gem. The grounds and views are simply beautiful, beginning with the stately tree lined driveway welcoming you. Our rooms were exceptionally clean and furnished in an upscale style combining traditional and modern. The Annex looks and feels like an elegant country home. It actually was built by a highly regarded local builder, Steven Reid, which is evident in the quality of the workmanship and esthetics. The balconies provide fresh country air, relaxation and peaceful music performed by many local birds. What truly sets this inn apart from others is that it’s not a chain; rather it is the absolute heart of the owner, Eddie. Eddie and his family care deeply about their inn as their home and the temporary home of their guests. The inn reflects their pride and care. Lola, the fluffy Pomeranian member of the family, is apparently the hostess of the entire inn and will greet you with her smile and friendly little barks. Both Karrie and Jess are highly competent, helpful employees who demonstrate the genuine warmth of the inn. Definitely look forward to staying at The Sharon Country Inn again and again.

My husband and I stayed at the Sharon Country Inn for a night in June. It was a lovely room for our overnight stay after a family event nearby. Continental breakfast was provided and we were greeted in the morning by the sweetest little pup, Lola, at the office! We highly recommend!
