Stayed for the first time as a birthday retreat. Sandra and Jim are magnificent and welcoming hosts. The home is a wonderful blend of history, tranquility and yet close to all local attractions. Highly recommended. Worth so much more than a hotel will provide.

My wife and I stayed one night at this establishment (2/06/16) and were very impressed. The inn is a quaint old house just off of I-95 (but secluded enough to feel far away- PERFECT!). The proprietors Sandra & Jim are very friendly and pleasant, and the strangest thing, which I can't really quite explain - they have a very calming... More

The old house is very charming, as you might expect with a New England inn. The breakfast was great. Sandra the Innkeeper was very accommodating. She even set us aside plates which allowed us to have breakfast at a later time. The animals were also great, along with the old books in the library. The only drawback was that there... More

We have visited here twice now. Wow! The welcome is outstanding and Sandra and Jim are terrific hosts. The rooms are in a period inn with wonderful, original features. We love the room with the dressing area and slipper bath en suite. Breakfast is all freshly cooked and Sandra's special treats are to die for. Very close to mystic, although... More

While traveling to Mystic for a weekend trip, I wanted to stay at a unique but cozy bed & breakfast in the area. Another Second Penny Inn definitely met my all of my expectations. The house itself is beautiful and located slightly away from town, giving it an isolated, serene feeling. However, in reality, it was only a few minutes... More

We spent two nights there for our anniversary. Sandra and Jim and their bevy of animals were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed reading some of the books in their library as well, beautiful old decorative arts books as well as novels. The setting was stunning in mid-November, but as in any 300 year old house it was on the cold side.... More

The house is incredible, such amazing history. We stayed for two nights a few weeks ago, it was perfect. A short drive into Mystic or Stonington, and cabs available if you'd prefer not to drive. We highly recommend visiting Stonington since you are so close...it's a cute town with a few great restaurants worthy of a walk, don't miss the... More

Loved staying in this sweet 1710 house. Sandra & Jim are very gracious & sister-in-law Shelly made our two delicious breakfasts. You will not starve here. Cookies & snacks are out in the evening, coffees & teas plus your own fridge with water & soft drinks. Enjoyed sitting in the library. Funny rescue dog, Kelly, lives here with 2 horses,... More

We spent two nights at the Another Second Penny Inn. We had the Russell Suite and it was wonderful having a separate bedroom. It's a very convenient location for traveling around the Mystic area. In addition, the breakfasts were delicious.
