This is an incredible place! My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights in the Mar suite and have nothing but excellent things to say. The room is large, comfortable, cool and has everything you might need. The bathroom even has a his and hers walk-in closet! The experience is made even more wonderful by the owner, Stig. Stig...

We loved the place so much the first time we stayed that we returned for a second year in a row. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and have amazing views of the beach below. Stig the owner makes delicious breakfasts and is a great source of information about local sites and activities.

The host, Stig Wedvik, has done a fantastic job creating and operating this small B&B. Except for the casita, the rooms are large with views of the Gulf. We started with the casita because my wife has difficulty climbing stairs, but we had some aircon problems and Stig convinced us to move to the main house. Good idea. A couple...

Perched right on the sandy beach of Progreso in the small Yucatan village of Choburna (about ten minutes from Progreso and 30 minutes from the cultural colonia city of Merida), I can't recommend Flamingos Inn highly enough. Run by a most lovely Norwegian guy, Stig, Flamingoes Inn features only four rooms: two massive sea-view suites (with kitchens), a gigantic one-bedroom...

My mother and I traveled from Merida to Chuburna to spend a couple days at the beach, and Stig greeted us with his pups Alex, Charlie, and Canela. We were welcomed into our cabana (Concha), where we settled in and enjoyed the too-few days we had there! Everything was very clean, comfortable, and well-done. Breakfast was delicious and creative, and...

Loved our stay! It was hard to leave after 5 days there. The view of the gulf is amazing, the rooms are lovely, and Stig is a fantastic host! It was hot during part of our stay. I am not very heat-tolerant, but once we got the hang of siestas and either swimming in the gulf or the plunge pool...

Stig is one of the most genuine and accommodating hosts I've ever met. Even a 1am arrival because of airport delays didn't faze him. If you're looking for an oasis in the middle of nowhere, this is it. My wife and adult son enjoyed shopping and the sights. I enjoyed sitting on the massive deck overlooking a sparsely populated beach...

The Flamingo inn is an extremely pleasant choice for a relaxing break with a lovely beach on the doorstep. We stayed for a week, split the nights between the garden casita and a first floor studio with a large balcony about ten meters from the beach. Both accommodations were well equipped extremely clean and had reliable wifi. Stig and Daniel...

This was our 2nd stay at Flamingos Inn. We visited a year and a half ago, just the 2 of us. We returned with my mother and our friends. Stig, the owner, is just wonderful. He fixes the most amazing breakfasts every morning. The setting is absolutely breathtaking. I would not describe it as fancy, but it is clean, comfortable...
