I have been to the Curtis House many times, but no longer live in the area. For a lark, my sister & I took a bus trip which included a stop at the Curtis House for lunch. I did not know what to expect - our group totaled 88 people with, of course, a limited time for dining before we...

Charming inn; one of the oldest in CT and worth walking through. Years ago the menu was better with the best onion soup and tender pork chops then the TV show with Gordon arrived and out they went. Still remaining on the menu but not the same. Still worth a visit; service is good and they have a bar (they...

Our room was spacious, a suite in fact, and featured a four-poster bed and attractive period furniture. While a softer mattress and a new quilt would be improvements, we totally enjoyed our room and our stay. We had dinner in front of a lovely fire in the dining room, and the food was piping hot and delicious. The staff was...

This is New England; we have old buildings with much charm that are hard to find anywhere else. So if you want to experience some of real New England, stay at the Curtiss House. The rooms are clean, staff is friendly and accommodating, the food is excellent, and the Rte. 6 area is charming as well. If you want posh,...

We have been enjoying lunches at the historic Curtis House in Woodbury,CT. The menu is quite extensive and reasonably priced. We order from the three course menu, which includes soup, entree, dessert and coffee. For an additional $2,you can get the most delicious crock of French onion soup. The entrees include stuffed shrimp, sirloin steak, fish and chips, roasted chicken...

Our first time there for dinner with friends. It was OK at best. Some of the food was cold and you could tell it was sitting in the pass waiting for the other meals that were hot. The fish and chips tasted and seemed to be frozen fish? And the fries were definitely frozen. The waiter never refilled our coffee...

It was a pleasure to stay in this quaint, historic inn (the oldest in Connecticut) that once upon a time hosted George Washington. The staff was amazingly friendly and the price was a bargain! The food in the restaurant was fabulous and once again extraordinarily inexpensive. Great value!

We were invited to the celebration of former movie star turned nun, Mother Dolores Hart's 50th Golden Jubilee in September 2016. The Abbey of Regina Laudis recommended the Curtis House Inn. The Inn is a historic Inn built before 1736. We felt we were guests in someone's home. We took all of our meals there as well during our visit....

My husband John and I were visiting Connecticut to join in celebrations for Mother Dolores Hart's, blessed, special day. Mother Dolores Hart was actress who became a nun and was renewing her 50th anniversary vows at the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, one town over. The Abbey suggested we book at the Curtis House and based on reviews we...
