This was our first visit to The Lakes so didn't know a lot about the area apart from limited information from the internet. Not a problem at Meadowcroft, Debbie, Elliot and Rosemary not only made us very welcome but were also a font of local information. As others have said the room (No.9) was immaculate, the breakfast was plentiful and...

Stayed at this Guest House as part of a motorcycle tour with 2 friends. We all stayed in a triple bedded room in the Attic of the house. The accommodation was excellent with a clean and well decorated room, great breakfast, and very friendly and welcoming hosts.

We had a truly relaxing stay this weekend due to the comfort and great service at Meadowcroft. We were so glad we came for an extra night as attending a wedding nearby. Rosemary, Suzanne and the team are so friendly and efficient they deserve many revisits especially as we heard of the flooding affecting the guest house last year. Whilst...

We are regular visitors to the Lake District, although we usually stay in the Keswick area, so this trip to the Windermere part was a new venture. My wife spotted the Meadowcroft on the Booking.com website, and we reserved a room for three nights. On arrival we were met by Elliot who explained everything to us, pointed out the route...

My friends and I were stranded in June after our nearby accommodations fell through. Even though everything in the district was booked because of a festival they were kind enough to make room for us and help out 3 stranded tourists. I can HIGHLY recommend staying here! And make sure you take of advantage of the Full English Breakfast...Delicious!

A very clean and comfortable place to stay. We were in the attic rooms which were lovely, both rooms had bath and shower. However, it can be a little warm after a spell of hot weather, but there were large fans that could be used in both rooms to cool them down. Breakfast was lovely with an extensive choice of...

Looking for a dog friendly B&B for a weekend in the Lake District, this family run business proved the ideal place. Located at Ings, a 10 minute drive from Windermere and Bowness, with a local pub 200 yards away with excellent food and local in-house brewed beers. The rooms were clean and tidy albeit that we had an attic room...

Stayed with family over the past weekend. Lovely welcome and friendly owners. Whatever you want including bottles of cold water or fresh milk for tea/coffee making in room not a problem. Very comfortable en suite rooms and beautiful freshly cooked breakfasts. Next to main road but wouldn't know -no traffic sound at all. Don't be put off and stop!
