1.) Check out time – We requested a later checkout time with your overnight front desk attendant. Clearly she had not relayed the message to the morning staff when they came on shift. I did not appreciate your hotel manager pounding on our hotel room door urging us to hurry it up and then later calling the phone to reiterate the check out time of 11:00 am. The fact that you had overbooked and had guests waiting to check in early was not our problem! Being a family of four on vacation this was not a pleasant way to end our stay. 2.) Quiet Policy – This was not upheld during our stay as we experienced several guests stumbling back to their rooms drunk well past the hours from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. With 2 children under the age of 18 sleeping, they were woken up to guests pounding on doors at all hours of the night. 3.) Housekeeping services – We requested service to our room but that happened once during our 5 night stay. Again, we relayed this request to your overnight staff and obviously the message was not received as my children repeatedly had to go down to the front desk lobby area asking for towels, toilet paper and trash bags. As a guest, I did not expect to clean our hotel room while on vacation. Finally, my greatest concern is the overnight front desk person locking up the lobby to sneak off hotel property (where they cannot be seen on cameras) to smoke drugs and have sex with her male companion while on the company’s time. I would like to think that there is a drug policy in place for your employees. While I appreciate the credit refund of $199.00 for the first night, the lack of checking in with us as repeat guests from last year (during Covid), and being that my spouse and I are in the service industries, I am genuinely not impressed with your staff and we will not be returning to you hotel.

Good- On beach block. You do not have to cross busy Rt1. Sundry store on site to purchase food/drinks. Free parking in small lot or park on street. Walk to bars/restaurants. Rooms are fairly clean. Bad- Very small space. Bathroom small. Rooms small. Things run down. They need to do upgrades- even things like the shower head was bald - so like the basic one in the 70s, torn shower rod, missing bath pole to hang washcloths, rusted toilet paper holder, etc. Bed has seen better days. Ugly- My room was on first floor and shades wouldn't pull shut so people walking by could see in. Bring a clip (hair clip even) to clip shades shut. This beach, Dewey, is loud in general - more bar focused and 20 somethings so its just generally louder. The clientele in the hotel seemed not to care about their neighbors. I found folks to be loud in their room and walking down sidewalk right outside. The doors and the latches are 70s so don't feel secure when you leave the room. There is a large space around door so either hot or cold air gets in depending time of year. I put the a/c on but it didn't seem to work all that great. I tried to call the front desk for something but phone had no dial tone. Check in was tough. Couple that works the front desk seem friendly but not on the ball. Myself and another person were waiting to check in and she didn't seem to notice we were there so took a while. For me, they signed me up under someone else's name so charged me more so had to re-sign in (nothing is digital) and go through process again. Took a long time and was making me wonder how they'd fare in an emergency! Front desk lady kept pulling her mask off to talk so what is the point really??? Yikes.

First time to Dewey Beach and needed a dog friendly hotel. It definitely isn't a resort, however, the check in clerk was very personable and ensured COVID guidelines were being followed by sanitizing everything. Not many people staying there. Our room was right above the gym so we didn't have anyone staying on either side of us. Room had the basic necessities. The only issues were the $10 pet fee per night and the A/C compressor definitely needing maintenance. No carpet or rug in the room so if the dog had an accident, we could have easily cleaned it up. We were there for 2 nights and would have asked for a new room if we stayed longer due to the loud A/C. Not a bad location since it's close to the beach and restaurants. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants (if they're opened). Not a bad price for off season, but wouldn't pay much more during peak season.

This is easily one of the WORST hotels I have ever stayed in (and I've been to 45 countries). The only pros of this hotel are that it's right next to the beach as well as many bars and restaurants. Other than that, the walls are paper thin, the bars and clubs party every night until the early morning, (and no amount of sleeping aid or hearing aids will block out the party sounds), dogs are barking at all hours, and the hotel is overpriced. The noise was so bad we had to leave a day early. Do not stay at this hotel.

We loved this place!! Super pet friendly, in a cute town and recently renovated. Location on beach block was outstanding. The Beach allows dogs before 9:30 and after 5:30 I will highly talk up this place to pet parents like us. Also, lots of dining options nearby.

Room Tip: even 2nd floor is ok for dogs, the steps are not steep and have a landing mid way
