We needed to get away after the bad weather. Lewes is a great little town to visit but a lot of things are only open during the season. We wanted a reasonable price motel with breakfast. Our room had 2 double beds with microwave, refrig. and coffee maker. The bathroom had a walk in shower with the usual toiletries. Breakfast was very good in that we had cereals, waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage. It's nice that the motels have returned breakfast after the Covid restrictions. The view from our room was the parking lot and a retirement village. But you are not there for the view.
We are a couple that travels with dogs. It can be difficult to find accommodations that allow larger dogs. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was quiet. Short drive to Lewes and Rehoboth. Highly recommend especially if traveling with dog children.
Stayed here to do some birdwatching and walking on the American Discovery Trail, including ferry to Cape May. Hotel was very convenient to all the places we wanted to hit. Plenty of restaurants nearby, some within a short walk. Hotel was fairly easily located on DE Rt 1, but it's behind another business at the roadside and you have to look carefully to find the driveway to it. Check-in was quick & easy, friendly staff (as were all staff). Room was ok, clean, plenty of room. One bedside lamp's bulb did not work but we got a replacement from the desk dude and replaced it ourselves. Shower was one-person stall in the same small room as the toilet, with the sink in separate area just outside that room. TV and wifi worked well. Walls seemed kinda thin as noises from the hallway and neighboring rooms (and upstairs) were apparent. Breakfast was good (but the same both mornings: available items included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, self-serve waffles, instant oatmeal, cereal, bread & pastries, some fruit, yogurt) and hosted with cheer and plenty of talk. Overall, a clean comfortable place with friendly staff; certainly worth the price. …
I have stayed at this hotel for many years and book directly through ChoiceHotels.com. Anyhow, they still have a hidden fee for a safe of $1.50 per night. I've about had it with Sleep Inn & Suites Rehoboth Beach. When we checked in September 18, 2022 (3 night stay) we asked Joe at the front desk to remove the safe fee. He said he removed the charge, but it was still charged to our credit card. He even knows us as we stay there often, so we're surprised he did not remove the charge. This was our third stay this year and each time they include the hidden charge. Consider the Comfort Inn just down the road, which is an extremely nice hotel without hidden charges.
The hotel room was nice, they had it very cold when we walked in. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The front desk people were very nice. The breakfast area was nice . Very easy to get in and out of the hotel.
My partner and I had embarrassingly booked the wrong date and discovered this upon arrival when we attempted to check in. Without skipping a beat the friendly staff were quick to accommodate with a room that was identical to what we (thought) booked in advance. Additionally, they were more than willing to write back and forth as we use ASL. No awkwardness at interacting with deaf people, just went about getting the important information across. Breakfast was great and even though we arrived a half hour before it ended, still had a good selection available. Would definitely recommend and visit again
We had a wonderful stay here! The staff is super friendly and kind! We had missed breakfast one day and one of the workers was kind enough to grab some cereal and other snacks for my daughter one morning. My daughter was so grateful that she drew her a picture! Also, the kiddie pool is wonderful for littles and the big pool isn't extra deep only 5ft. We would stay here again in the future.
We stayed there July 22 to 23rd. Granted there was a softball team there but the hallways are loud and we were woken up a lot. The breakfast staff was very nice but breakfast left much to be desired. Standard, unhealthy fare. No hot eggs or sausage as was offered at Homewood suites where I recently stayed. No late check out. NOt even fifteen minutes! We were told we would be charged if we checked out late. All this for 394 dollars!!
Our room smelled like a wet dog and the light bulbs must have had the lowest wattage available. The towel rack in the bathroom was falling out of the wall. It didn’t seem very clean. We were on a road trip and stayed in 5 different accommodations and this was the worst by far. I only booked it because it had positive reviews. What a bad surprise when we got there. Extra disappointing to pay the highest rate here compared to the other places we stayed due to it being a beach area and the month of June. I also have to mention, although this will not apply to most travelers, that we needed an accessible room due to a person who uses a walker to get from point A to point B. The accessible room we were given here was the last room at the end of the hall. Seriously? Make the handicapped go farther to get to their room? We have come up against this is some other hotels, so Sleep Inn is not alone in this, but whoever designs the placement of accessible room should take this into account in the future. I rated this place a 2 because the front desk people in the afternoon and morning were both very nice and the breakfast looked like there was a lot of selection, although we didn’t eat anything. I can’t comment on the pool as we didn’t use it but it looked like it had a nice area for kids. Perhaps that’s why it got good reviews from others. However, if you are passing through this area and need a place to go for the night, I would make a different choice.…
Everything was clean and well cared for. We were traveling in a school bus with a church group that stayed at a nearby camp. Before leaving, we needed to add water to the radiator. The maintenance guys were happy to help! Hope we can come along next year.
