I am reviewing this hotel having never actually stayed there. My wife and I booked a last minute night for a quick get away to Rehoboth and unfortunately I woke up sick the day we were to check in. My wife called to see if it would be possible to cancel on such short nice and the employee let her know the manager would need to call her back. Later that day the manager called me to see how I was and let me know it was no problem to cancel with no fees. He also told me several times how sorry he was that I was sick and that he wished me well. It is pretty rare that level of service nowadays. While we have never stayed here officially we will definitely be booking rooms here from now on.
Every November we travel to Rehoboth Beach to celebrate our anniversary and we choose to stay at the Brighton. The rooms have been recently remodeled and this property is well kept. The staff is always been friendly. They have a pool but I personally have never used it my kids have in the past. If you open the sliding door in your room at night you can hear the waves. You can not see the water but you can hear it. When we go in November it is the off season but we are usually there Thanksgiving weekend. We park at the hotel and mainly walk to our destinations. In the morning it's for coffee and night it's for food and libations. All in all the Brighton fits out needs for location and clean accommodations.
Brighton Suites is clean and comfortable. However, for a quiet room, ask for a room in the back (not facing Wilmington Ave.). It is better to ask for a room on the 3nd floor back to avoid the noise of the air conditioner fans which are on the roof. The indoor pool is small and unheated. The hotel's best asset is its sundeck, which provides a panoramic view of the town and a partial view of the ocean. Also there are tables and chairs to sit and eat.
Brighton is conveniently located a couple blocks from the beach & good restaurants. The hotel is clean and the bathrooms and the kitchenette are updated. The beds are pretty uncomfortable and tight. I'm not even 5'3" and my fiancee is 5'2" and it was rough. The sofa bed was really bad - our 10 year old slept in the chair. Beach towels & chairs are complimentary for checkout each day. Great chairs and comfy towels. Parking is definitely limited and tight, although anybody used to Baltimore or DC parking garages will be fine. The elevator situation is frustrating. Takes forever so take the stairs when you don't need to carry things. Swimming pool area is pretty warm, but the pool itself is not crazy warm. The TVs are really small. The walls are pretty thin, so be prepared for noise.…
Great stay - location to the beach was a short walk away, beach chairs and towels available to borrow at no charge. Room size was spacious and decorated in a beach theme. Parking spaces in the main garage are tight, but there is a second garage available for larger vehicles near the chair/towel pickup. You can ask the attendant if they have any space. Would stay here again.
I chose this hotel because of the enclosed pool for the kids in case it rained. It is a small pool but the kids still had a blast and the water was always a pleasant temperature. The grownups rooms are spacious and we enjoyed the rooftop patio a lot. Love the central location and close proximity to the ocean. Would definitely use this place again sometime. Small complaint: a sign on the door said that housekeeping would not come by unless we called to request it (which was fine by us) and so we had no service/no service hang tag... but then every morning around 10 we got a knock on the door from housekeeping anyway.
Great beach hotel. Rooms spacious and clean. Microwaves and fridges. All you would expect for a beach hotel. We stayed on 4th floor and elevator and social distancing was a bit of a problem. Just started using the stairs. Rehoboth was very crowded and we brought a small fan to help with street noise but we had no issues in our room on 4th floor with the fan. Parking - I suspected this would be an issue. Spaces are tight and short. Not a good place for big SUV or long cars. Leave those at home. Lots of poles. We managed a space even coming back late and they do have someone to help park. As I said not unexpected and I am not sure what more the hotel could do about it but be aware.
You can tell that the Brighton Suites was a traditional garden-apartment beach hotel at one point, but the owners have done a great job of updating it. The rooms are refreshed with a lovely gray/teal beach theme, and everything was clean and well-cared for. The mattress was surprisingly comfortable, and the pull-out bed was great for the kids. The staff is very accommodating and helpful, and everything was easy. My one complaint (and there's not much they can do about this) is that the parking garage is so old and small that spaces are incredibly tight. If you come in with an SUV, get ready for the fun of trying to find a space that will accommodate your vehicle AND allow you to get out of the car. :) The hotel provides quality beach chairs and towels, so you can save yourself some packing space...maybe bring a smaller car so you can park it. The walk to the beach is short and quite doable, and you are so close to the boardwalk and restaurants. Great place - we'll be back!…
Enjoyed our stay. Close to beach and Main Street. Employees did their best to accommodate us. The only problem was the parking. We were there in the middle of June and they were sold out on all 3 nights we stayed. The parking garage has 2 floors. One at ground level snd one below. They promised free parking, however you had to be in early to get a spot that you could easily fit in. There was an attendant to direct you, however for the most part they did not give directions or tell you of the rules of where you could park. These rules should accompany your checkin. The desk people were helpful. The one garage attendant did his best to aid the situation by giving the rules. Dim cleared the situation and made it understandable why the situation was the way it was. This should be done at the front desk at checkin. The room was clean and the room was what we expected except for the fact you could hear every word from the next room. The parking situation was so confusing that we not stay again.…
The hotel was clean and walking distance to the board walk, also close to restaurants and shops. The room has a microwave, fridge which helps when you don’t want to dine indoors and do take out. Beach chairs and towels are provided. There is a pool but no gym on-site, however they do provide free passes to a local gym nearby. The location is not on the boardwalk but is actually better because of the noise.
