At first the hotel was a standard beach spot with an inside pool and free breakfast. My room had two queens and the standard fridge, microwave and coffee maker and no one came in my room during my stay unless I requested something. But the people I interacted with made the hotel a four star destination, namely Jease, Destiny and Cyndi.
When we checked in to the hotel Destiny helped us. Wonderful customer service! She was polite, helpful and positive! We felt at home right away! 10 minute drive to Rehoboth beach ⛱ 😎 and very comfortable and clean.
The website is misleading. The property appears to be clean and well-maintained. IT IS NOT! I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon. After being told that there would be NO HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES for the three days I had booked and paid for I was told to leave my dirty towels and garbage in THE HALLWAY by 10 am each morning for pick up. There were supposed to be clean linens delivered and LEFT IN THE HALLWAY later on in the day. The clean towels never appeared. I proceeded to the room and found a filthy floor, a bathroom sink that would not drain and fecal remnants from the last guest in the toilet. I went back to the desk and the employee was very nice and apologized that they had no housekeeper so the room was not as clean as it normally is. Okay- It's Rehoboth Beach in August and there were no dog-friendly accommodations anywhere. I stayed because I had to. Next, the shower head was caked with mold and the curtain was mildewed. The exterior door had a key swipe for security but it was broken and wires were hanging out so the door had been propped open WITH A ROCK- so much for security....The website claims on-site laundry. That was not functioning. The carpets and ceiling tiles were disgusting as well. I did reach out to corporate via the hotels webpage and left all of the comments. The claim is that they will reply within 24 hours of getting the email. It has been over 48 hours with no response. I do not fault the ONE employee I saw the entire time I was there- Her job could never be accomplished alone. It was too late for me to change hotels but it's not too late for you to keep scrolling when you arrive at this hotel's website. RUN, don't walk away.…
We were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. We chose it because we wanted to bring out small dog with us. The room was very clean and recently renovated. The bathroom was clean but not renovated. The floors were a laminate wooden pattern and attractive. We brought our dog crate, bedding, and favorite dog toys. It was our first attempt taking our 3 year old dog with us. He was nervous at first, but calmed quickly. There is a special for pottying area and clean up supplies. The room faced the back of the building and was quiet. Could occasionally hear dogs in the hallway, but not from in a room. This a not a luxury level motel, but it’s a great value. It’s near the Outlets and not a far drive to the beach area. Breakfast was included but nothing special. I liked having access to yogurt and light foods.…
We visited last weekend for the 4th of July, probably the most hectic weekend in the area all year. Despite all of the craziness of the weekend, the staff was incredibly helpful and did an awesome job to help us enjoy our stay. The hotel was recently renovated, so our room was in pristine condition. If you see any older pictures that don't look great you can disregard them - you will be happy with the quality of your room and the hotel as a whole. As far as accessing the beach, I found that while you're a few miles away from Rehoboth, it's incredibly easy to get in and out of town.
This is a very nice, welcoming facility!! The staff is very cordial and professional. The rooms are clean, updated, and spacious. My family and I would definitely recommend. They also have pet friendly rooms which is a bonus! We'll be back.
Booked this the night before on hotels.com for $74/night per room. Included breakfast. The main area looks newly renovated and is clean and friendly. We got 2 renovated rooms on the first floor “dog hallway.” They allow dogs, and many rooms on that hallway had dogs. So you didn’t have to worry about bothering the neighbors. Wasn’t too loud with dogs barking or something. There is a separate “dog park” lawn that has plastic bags next to the parking lot. Hallways were clean. Staff was nice. We had some questions about the TV at 9pm, and the manager came right away from the front desk to help. Pool and hot tub were kind of gross, with paint chipping, but have handicap wheelchair access. Two doors in the pool room were kind of creepy. One turned out to be the lobby bathroom, which did not have a working door lock. The other looked like an AC room, and just had a plastic sheet covering the entrance. We drove from DC to NJ and wanted to take the ferry from Lewes to Cape May. Location is 15 minutes from Dewey or Rehoboth Beach to the East, 15 minutes from the Ferry, and 5 minutes from Outlet Shopping. Very close to many restaurants. We enjoyed the “Kabab and Falafel Addiction” 1 strip mall East and the famous fried chicken spot in Dewey. Breakfast included - Continental with make your own waffles, coffee, bagels, muffins, etc.…
I got a room with a jacuzzi. Jacuzzi worked well. The staff was nice. The hotel is outdated and has a mildew smell. Carpet is old. The price was relatively affordable, especially for a last-minute booking, and so I kept my expectations low.
This hotel was affordably priced which led me to believe that it might not be as nice as neighboring hotels where I had stayed previously. Much to my delight I discovered it was as good, or better, than the nearby competitors. The staff members that I encountered were very courteous. The place was immaculate, the bed quite comfortable, and the accommodations were better than expected. I would come back here again. So check them out.
Wish I could make it a 0. This place screams nothing, but neglect by the ownership. It’s as if it’s crumbling in real time. We had an issue with our key card and needed let into our room every time we returned to it. Apparently, card readers are an issue on more than one of the doors, the rooms stink, there is roachs and it’s not worth what they're charging. This place needs to be demolished and made new, they should write Motel not Hotel. Dirt is all around the walls it’s disgusting! The carpets and the walls were stained. As soon as we began walking down the hall the immediate smell of wet dog, mold and smoke. The room wasn’t any better we walk in and are immediately overwhelmed by the same smell but stronger, carpet was tore up, mold was very noticeable in multiple areas, the bathroom looked like the only thing cleaned in the past month was the toilet and the floors were disgusting. Broken and shattered lamps can be seen when you walk down the hall, inside the room a broken plastic, the disgusting dryer full of hair and mold. I have photos and videos of everything I describe here. I truly can’t think of a positive for this place, the service was also horrible! Overall 0/10 experience. Management and ownership should be ashamed. Wish I could place a sign outside that reads, “Do not stay here”. Sad place. DONT GO HERE. forget the pool and the hot tub the pics on the website are not real. Oh and when asking for a refund or something to be done there was no manager to be found. Pleaseeeeeee DO NOT STAY HERE! BIG Waste of money!…
