For the past few years, we have spent the long Thanksgiving holiday in or around Rehoboth or Dewey. We have a dog we bring along and a son who loves swimming. Thus we need pet friendly AND an indoor pool. We have stayed at the Hyatt in Dewey for several years including during the pandemic and it was great but we wanted to stay right in Rehoboth so we could walk everywhere. Breakers pretty much the only "in town" option that met our requirements. The room was "smallish" for the 3 of us but we loved having an outdoor "patio". The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast good but it IS the same thing each day so don't expect variety. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and LOVED being right in Rehoboth so we could walk everywhere!

Hotel's Favourite
I stayed here with my family of four, including two kids ages 6 and 2. We stayed in a two bedroom suite, which included one bedroom with a queen, one bedroom with two queen beds, and a small living room area with a couch, tv, small table, mini-fridge, and sink. We stayed a week and enjoyed having the extra space, especially since the kids needed some down time during the day. The bathroom had a very large jacuzzi tub. Breakfast is included and was the same each day. While a bit repetitive, it was more than adequate. We brought a small bin to collect breakfast items and bring to the room. Breakfast included: scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants, packaged muffins (banana walnut, chocolate chip, and blueberry), packaged danishes, Cheerios, Lucky Charms, and water, coffee, milk, and OJ. The water, OJ, and milk came in individual containers, which made grabbing breakfast for the beach easy. One of the best features is the shuttle to the beach/boardwalk. The shuttle runs from 10-5 and is a 6-seater golf cart with storage in the back for your beach stuff. It only takes a couple minutes and the shuttle came right away. While it is less than ten minutes to the beach, the shuttle was a nice option with beach stuff and young kids. We used the pool a few times-- it's a bit small and older. Could use a bit more maintenance especially the sand on the bottom. We had nice weather but it was nice to have an indoor pool in case it rained. Overall the hotel is well maintained and clean, but I'd describe it as a budget/ family friendly hotel. It's older but well maintained. Rooms are cleaned between guests but not during your stay-- not uncommon now with staff shortages. If you need toilet paper, towels, etc you have to go to the front desk. You leave trash and dirty towels out for collection during the day. I wish the hotel had a laundry room. We had to go a laundromat which took time and was very expensive ($20/load at the closest one). It would be very convenient to have onsite! All in all, this was a good home base to visit the beach, Funland, and the boardwalk. It was much cheaper than other options and good value did the price. We will probably stay here again.

We checked into the hotel, went to our floor and were inundated with cigarette smoke. Went to our room, sat for a few minutes, and after smelling smoke in our room checked out. The receptionist was kind enough to let us cancel the room without a hassle.

Two stars for the halfway decent breakfast and not too far from the beach. Do not base your decision to stay here based on 4 or 5 star reviews if you plan on staying more than 1 or 2 nights. There are no services provided. Shuttle to the beach was not operating either. I've been to hotels that charge much less that provided services. We stayed 5 nights. 2 adults over 60. The room was not cleaned at all during the 5 days. The sheets were not changed at all. We took out our own trash. Used towels were put outside the door. Had to track down the cleaning people to get fresh towels. If you want comfortable chairs to sit on, grab the ones off the balcony. Parking spaces are meant for smaller cars so if you have a full size pick, it'll be a challenge during peak season. Crappy TV service, poor picture quality and I think only one local channel to check weather. As stated previously, no cleaning service. My wife saw the utility closet opened and was able to get a broom to sweep out the room. My wife checked out and mentioned about the lack of services and was told we should have been told at check in. Turns out she was the one that checked us in and didn't mention anything. Nothing is posted on their website that this is a self service hotel. Will not return.

I was amazed at check in to be informed they are not providing house keeping!! Guests are expected to go to the lobby for fresh towels and other supplies soap etc. The rates are high. The junior suite is nice with sitting space and balcony. The place is clean but no room cleaning is provided during the stay. Self serve only. Apparently the owner does not want to pay any cleaning staff.Amazing for a 3 star operation.

Let me start by stating that this is a fine hotel. Beds were fine, and hotel was clean. The employees however got in a fist fight in our room while cleaning it. Leave that world star stuff home. Please hire employees that won't fight in guests room while cleaning. Breakfast was good. Everything was good except for the world star fight that happened in room 311. A woman's weave was actually pulled out and thrown to the sidewalk by the parking lot. Everything following this was good, but me and my family were a bit nervous when arriving and witnessing this. The 2 women were screaming and cursing prior to the fist fight. I wouldn't stay here again if this continues.

My family and I just stayed at this location for 5 nights. The customer service was terrible. The front end staff appeared to be bothered when we would ask questions or needed anything. Their Starbucks coffee machine is broken and they are very well aware that it has been broken for a while and seem like they just do not care enough to fix it. The rooms were not very attractive. They are dark and dingy. We paid almost $400 a night for a "double park and lake view" which we got the tail end of a little view. The balconies need to be cleaned and power washed. At the very least they could sweep the balconies covered in sand. There was a wasps nest in our balcony and when I told the front end clerk she said "well do you want me to send maintenance." How about let me take care of this for you!!! That would be a more appropriate response. They DO NOT clean the rooms during your stay, not even a vacuum, which is pretty disgusting considering we are back and forth from the beach. The rooms were incredibly dark. The lighting in the bathroom was from a 1970's horror film. When you are paying almost $400 a night on a trip you save all year to go on with your family it is incredibly disappointing. The positive: quiet and walking distance to everything.

This Hotel is in an excellent location. It is a 10min walk to the main area of the boardwalk. It is situated in the middle of the beach community so there are many shops and cafes to visit. This was a nice option because the breakfast was just ok. Price of the Hotel was cheaper for the location. If you are expecting a super modern look like some of the Marriotts, this is not the place. The rooms are updated and were clean. Hallways were small and there is only one elevator. For a family of 4 you’re better off getting a suite than regular room. All rooms have balconies which is a plus. Parking was never an issue. When we first checked in we smelled marijuana in the halls but as it turned out it was a guest for one night and never smelled again for the rest of our stay. The staff was 100% helpful to us and very kind. Everyone greeted us every morning when we passed by. Stay here for the location as the more newer hotels are miles from the beach.

Location is excellent here, the dining and shopping options are endless and all walking distance. Can walk to beach, however we chose to drive to Cape Henlopen beaches which are 10 miles away in Lewes. The hotel check in experience was ridiculous, parking on side is limited, there was none so I was double parked to get checked in. Asked about bike rentals in area, staff couldn’t answer me or help on that. No one helps with luggage so you get your own cart to load up and the woman should’ve or could’ve literally pointed to my room it was so close (down hall a few steps from front desk , room 117) but she didn’t so I proceeded to lug my stuff around on this cart inside then outside and couldn’t find my room. The parking is free but good luck in that lot, I wonder how many vehicles get dinged it so tight and the garage underneath- ugh! Came back one night after 10 pm to find no parking and that turned into quite the debacle with again the front desk being of absolutely no help. Finally found parking in metered lot by asking police officer if I am allowed to park there as a hotel guest and answer is yes but get back by 10 am to pay meter. Its free in city hall lot from 10 pm to 10 am. There is a small pool on 5th floor but we didn’t use it. Breakfast is mediocre at best and was same all 3 days. But its free so I did eat there 2 of 3 days. Options are eggs, croissant, bacon, sausage, yogurt, juice, milk, cereal and packaged pastries. No housekeeping services while there due to covid. But an envelope is in room for tipping. I did tip $10 for my 3 day stay but only out of guilt because the envelope was there. Shower pressure was awful, couldn’t get my hair washed good. Beds were comfortable and got good nights sleep. We were on 1st floor and expected some street noise but it was quiet so pleasantly surprised. The room smelled stale. Evertime in and out the smell kind of hits you, not good. Dogs are allowed here so maybe carpets need cleaned, idk. Overall I would stay again only cause of location and think priced right, but don’t expect much otherwise.

Aside from not being allowed to check in on time (4PM), our two night stay was excellent. The manager was very nice and explained that they were short staffed and that our check in would be soon after 4. It was. We had the 2-bedroom suite and it was clean, spacious, and up to date, as was the lobby. Shout out to the daily breakfast preparers! Most outstanding selection and taste. It is on the 4th floor. The acoustics could be better in the breakfast room. Holy cow, was it loud! Parking is only good for one vehicle and we had two. Had to park it at a friend’s place. Water pressure was pee poor, but hot. AC was excellent. We would definitely come back.
