We booked two rooms, family of four with grandparents for the marathon. This is everything you hope a Marriott property at this level to be. Not fussy, just cleanliness, fun atmosphere, and GREAT staff who really enjoy their work. Quiet enough to rest but just enough going on with the bar downstairs for a lively environment…. Everyone was great! Check-in staff were warm and welcoming, bartenders were low-key and cool, attentive breakfast staff. A great stay…. Staff frendly and helpful. Guest laundry was good. Rooms are tired but clean. Breakfast was OK and we where able to take advantage of grab and go. Rooms at the back are quite but lower rooms have the noise from ground AC. Ask for higher rooms. Would stay again
We had such an enjoyable stay at the Fairfield! The front desk attendant was so welcoming and had helpful recommendations for restaurants (near the property and near the beach). The room was great plus a fantastic complimentary breakfast and free parking. Note the hotel is a few miles from the beach.
As a Bonvoy member, I’ve stayed at hotel all over the United States. This was not one of the better ones. While I understand it is a resort town, October is second season, and not prime summer season when a hotel like this would be packed. We checked in on Thursday. We had no maid service at all until we checked out on Monday, not even to empty the trash. We stopped by the front desk to get trash bags so we could change out the trash bags. Front desk said to put the trash in the hall, where it sat for more than a day. We found potato chips that weren’t ours by the pull out couch, the dresser drawer didn’t stay closed, the lighting was very dim in the room, there was only sheer curtains in the front windows so it was not dark or private in the room at any point and very bright as soon as the sun was up. You could hear the people above you walking around ALL night, like in a bad apartment building. Breakfast was not great, oatmeal was extremely watery, “omelets” were microwaved with processed cheese, not much redeemable here. Spend a few more dollars and stay at a better quality hotel. This is NOT a hotel I would choose to stay at again.…
Except for one thing this seems to be a fine place to stay. But be warned, it’s home to the dreaded Cubie Blue, sleep thief, devils box, sleep deprivation to the nations. Cubie blue looks like an innocent little alarm clock, but it has a problem. The big knob / button on top of it activates the alarm, and it must be too easy for you, housekeeping, or the previous guest to bump. This is the third time I’ve been alarmed way too early in the morning by one of these things. And since the foremost responsibility of a hotel keeper is to enable a good nights sleep, this is a fail. Beware the power of electronics. If you see a Cubie Blue in your room, look carefully at it and make sure it says off and not a time. If not, press the button until it says off. If you want an alarm, make sure you don’t push the button again and deactivate it. Also a dishonorable mention for the really low contrast labels on the shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles in the shower. One of our 2 seniors could figure them out with intense squishing, one restarted to pumping samples to tell which was which. We believe that clever young package designers should be awakened prematurely by a Cubie Blue, equipped with special old fart simulation glasses and required to read their own packaging.…
Very nice hotel in great condition. The staff was all very friendly and made a point of saying hello whenever you saw them. Breakfast was pretty extensive and parking is plentiful. We did not use it, but there is an indoor pool - which could be handy if you had a rainy beach day and kids. Only negative was access to property - which is probably true of almost every hotel on Route 1. Easy to turn into when leaving Rehoboth, but need to make U turn to head to beach which can be tricky with traffic.
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites for 2 nights. The hotel is clean! Staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and area was kept stocked and clean. The hotel has a small, cozy bar in the basement with a great happy hour. There are several nice outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy being outside.
Had a nice night at this Fairfield Inn this time. Got there later in the evening this past Thursday after talking to a girl at the desk about a room selection earlier in the day. The room turned out to be to closer to the elevator than what I was told on the phone, but Donna at the front desk switched us to a room far down the hall that was nicer. Room was comfortable and clean and ac wasn’t noisy Room was quite despite facing the road. Breakfast was ok but it would of been real nice to have strawberry topping and whipped cream for the waffles. A power strip at the bed stand would be nice as the outlets in the lamps are to loose for some chargers. But we would of like to stay another night . And hotel is still nice even though it’s not as new as it used to be. But Donna made our stay as nice as it could be.…
Hotel has a great location and is up to date and convenient. Recommend this property for exploring the Rehobeth area. Check-in was just ok as front desk gentleman did not acknowledge platinum status . Front desk clerk, Rwi , needs a little more training but we understand staffing difficulties these days. Shower door base was highly mildewed and should be addressed by housekeeping. Highly recommend this hotel for the excellent location !!
My bedding was filthy and Manager Randy became belligerent when I requested a partial refund for the experience and additional wait. Food, hair, stains and a sock from a previous guess was found in the room. I was treated poorly as a guest and left the property. Please check the room travelers!!!
