We’ve been coming back here for 5 years with friends and have had an excellent time each year. As this is not a hotel, you focus on 3 things; location, cleanliness and experience The proximity to restaurants, bars and beach is great, our rooms are always spotless and the staff here are wonderful, especially the manager Rita. She goes out of her way to ensure the guests are pleased with their stay by providing recommendations to dining or drinks or by simply asking what changes could be made going forward to improve the guest experience
I stayed at the motel with my daughter and her friend and her mom for a short girls trip. The rooms were clean and updated and the manager was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Decided to take my husband to the shore for some bird watching, for his birthday weekend. We chose this because of the good reviews, price and location. This was a very nice place: about 10-15 min walk from the beach, well lit, very clean room/bedding and very "fresh" even for an older property. We spoke with the personnel but never saw anyone face to face, as we arrived late and left early. There was a box left for us with our keys. We were in room 201..please be aware that there is only 1 ground floor room (handicapped) and that you must climb about 12, shallow steps to get to the rooms. Our room was of average size. It had all the basics for a quick 2 nt stay. There was no real table, only a small chair with a table that fit over it, which was fine for our computer use. The only criticisms: the tile floor was absolutely frigid! There was a good heating system, but it cycled off and on about every 10-20 seconds. If you are not a fan of white noise, bring earplugs. The wi fi was fine; we never turned on the TV. All in all, a fine place to stay for a short jaunt to check out the birds.…
I have stayed many times and each time is better then the last, seems each year something has been updated or renovated, the exterior is getting a complete makeover, they are going green with solar panels and adding a small “beach area” with sand and tables and chairs so everyone can be outside and eat or relax and still maintain social distancing which on that subject with the covid 19 issues they are going above and beyond to do their part to make sure rooms are sanitized and spotless. The staff is and has always been wonderful and treat you like family not guests they often go way out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Parking is plentiful and being only three or so blocks from the boardwalk and even less to many shops and restaurants you can park your car and walk everywhere. And for those who love brewing they are just next door to Dogfish Head. The rooms are modern and spacious and the prices are affordable and competitive. Once again I highly recommend.…
Went to Rehoboth for a quick get away with a friend. Found Crosswinds online and decided to booked our stay. What a pleasant surprise! Rooms are very clean and spacious. Small refrigerator and keurig coffee maker in the room with pods and coffee cups. Rooms are stocked with clean towels and bathrooom amenities, just in case you forget your own. Rita was super sweet to work with and has an amazing staff! Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
Was pretty sure when I arrived on Halloween & saw Crosswinds decked out for the holiday that I'd found a good place. I was right. Spacious corner room, clean & comfortable, with double sink & lots of storage space. Throughout my stay, the housekeeping was excellent, & I especially appreciated the BeeKind eco-friendly products. The vibe is laid-back & welcoming, & location - plus parking - makes it a perfect base of operations for exploring the restaurants, shops, & attractions. The rates are extremely affordable, & mean that I will be able to visit Rehoboth more than once a year. I plan to make this my go-to whenever I can get away.
Every year my local bicycle club travels from Odessa, DE, to Rehoboth Beach, DE, by bicycle. We've stayed at the same place for 35+ years but this year we needed to find a new place to stay. What we look for is a place that's within walking distance to the beach and restaurants, a fair and reasonable price, cleanliness, simple amenities (i.e., refrigerator, in-room coffee) and a place that allows us to keep our bicycles in the room. The Crosswinds met all of our needs. There are 3 levels to the motel and I stayed on the 3rd level with 2 double beds. The room had hard floors, ample towels, comfortable bedding, in-room coffee, a small refrigerator, flat screen TV, and it looked newly renovated. The room was very clean and quiet considering it was only a few blocks from the boardwalk and it faced the street. The manager Rita offered us a group rate for our 2-night stay and allowed us to keep our bicycles in the room. I'm certain the Crosswinds Motel will become the new tradition for the bicycle club.…
It has been several years since we went to Rehoboth. But, we decided to again try the Crosswinds Motel and I must say we were impressed. The price was spectacular, the rooms are updates, clean and very comfortable. This is a great place to stay within walking distance of the beach, boardwalks, restaurants, shops, etc. We will be back next year!!!
This motel has two things going for it: the rooms are very clean and the staff is exceptionally nice. The shortcomings are no elevator, no pool, and the biggest one is terrible TV. The channels are boring, not many good ones. Some shows are on four different channels. There really are not many channels with any shows that I watch. Also it takes awhile between changing channels. TV is very frustrating. That said, it is clean and reasonably priced for Rehoboth Beach. It is not a deluxe accommodation but if you do not mind the shortcomings, you will be satisfied.
We've been going to Rehoboth for over 40 years. Love it! This is the first time staying at Crosswinds. We will be back. Very clean, comfortable rooms. The staff was wonderful. Prices were great. Thank you for a great stay!
