If you stay in this hotel, you wouldn't believe that you are in Mamuju, the capital city of West Sulawesi province. The city itself is very quiet and rural. So, it's a surprise to find a nice hotel (3-4 star) in Mamuju. The hotel marketing staff was helpful actually but if you want to negotiate the hotel room rate plus additional service you want based on your office;s budget, you must have a little bit patience. The room is very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The food and beverage in the restaurant are tasty, and the restaurant staff is very helpful. The restaurant has a good view of the shore in front of the hotel. When you are in Mamuju, there is no (at least until now) other better hotel than d'Maleo.

We stayed one night (two rooms) at the d'Maleo Hotel. The hotel rooms were nice and clean. The staff was efficient. Our only somewhat disappointing surprise is that we were led to believe that "free Wifi" meant that we had free internet service in our room. The free access is, however, only available in the 1st and 2nd floor public areas and restaurants.
The breakfast was good and we were well served even though most of the guests had been served much earlier due to it being Ramadan.

I brought a number of work contacts including some VIPs to Mamuju and chose D'Maleo Hotel because of my great stay on my last visit. D'Maleo did not disappoint. Upon arrival and check-in lunch was waiting in our rooms just as promised. The staff are extremely helpful and always friendly. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, but the room service is of good value. The restaurant has free WiFi (just ask your waiter for the password) but it is disappointing to have to buy internet hours for your room. But the views MORE than make up for it...looking out across the bay in the morning is a great way to wake up! This is still THE PLACE to stay in Mamuju, highly recommended.

Flying into Mamuju you wouldn't expect to find such a nice hotel. This province is beautiful, but also fairly rural...what a surprise then to find a very legitimate 4 star hotel sitting right on the shore! Rooms are spacious and very comfortable with internet plug, nice television and good/clean bathroom. The hotel boasts a very tasty restaurant, great spa, karaoke and will be opening a bar next month. The staff are unfailingly friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Do yourself a favor and get a room with a view to the sea, it is very peaceful and a lovely view. The restaurant has free wifi (ask the waiter for the password) and the spa has very good massage deals. I highly reccomend D'Maleo, there is no reason to stay anywhere else when in Mamuju.

Im not sure Mamuju has any other place of similar quality , but I doubt it. The hotel is fairly new and some work is still going on but none of it caused any problems for me.
The hotel is right at the waterfront and has a great view.
Check in was good, efficient and no problems at all. Got a room on 7th (top) floor - alas city view which is not offering much to remember.
The room was large, tidy and clean. Furniture is good and the workspace is large enough to keep both computer and files on the desk. The bed was nice and comfortable. Bathroom has a large shower space - no tub.
Breakfast is so so but surely will keep you going. Tried dinner at the lobby level restaurant and had a go at the oxtail soup which was somewhat disappointing -thin and watery and meat was not tender.
The hotel appears to host many seminars which means you have to figure out when to have your breakfast - I had wait to get a table in the overcrowded restaurant .

There seems to be a large disco undertaking in the lower levels which I didnt visit but they advertise it rather much - special offer buy two or three bottles of whiskey x,v or z (who does that ? )

On a neigboring plot/field there is a huge evening/night dinner and karokee market. It is extremely loud and it keeps going till about midnight. There is no koordination of these karokee stalls so volume is at max and not very enjoyable. However, I did not hear any of it from my room.

The location is great right on the water and close to the fish market. The room was huge with very good water pressure and hot water and a hair dryer. The bed is comfortable and there non-smoking rooms are truly non-smoking. There is a safe but allow time for the front desk to find a key to activate it (people must not request it much but I had lots of cash to pay my driver of 10 days). The restaurant is fine but nothing special, same for hula hula restaurant down the street. I can not imagine that there is a better place to stay. We hired a boat for 1.5 hours for 200k Rupiah to take us around the island and did some swimming before work.

My reflexology was very average.

Had been couple of time for business trip to mamuju and this hotel has always been my choice - at least this is the only decent hotel for stay in mamuju city. Last i time i stay there they gave me sea-view room, free-flow
traditional healthy drink at the evening. They don't have free internet access at the room but it even much better as i can work at the restaurant while watching the blue sea right before me.

This is new hotel and the best hotel in Mamuju. The hotel facing to the sea. They have 2 room type, 1 side rooms with sea view and 1 side rooms with street view. Better you choose the room with sea view when you make a reservation to this hotel.
The room rates are affordable and it's clean and tidy. But unfortunately they have really bad wifi connection.
The staff are helpful. Breakfast are good too.

I found some yellow spots in the bed cover & pillow. It seems that the hotel did not wash them regularly. I found this is very disturbing. Housekeeping did a great job by finding a clean bed cover & pillow. Hotel needs to buy spare bed sheet, pillow, bed cover so it can be washed properly.

This is your best option in Mamuju for a nice hotel. Breakfast is included, as in most hotels in the area. But this was a very full breakfast with lots of choices. We got a room with an ocean view for an extra 100,000 Rp (~$8). A/C works decently. In-room Wi-fi was a little weak in my room.
