We spent 7 nights in one of the great canal front rooms. The place was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The week was very relaxing. We sat outside at the canal every morning having our coffee. We saw manatee, a nurse shark, Key deer and many huge iguana. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the pool...

We enjoyed the location of this campground. It's an easy drive down to Key West or up to Islamorada if you want. We loved seeing the deer walk around and enjoyed the live music one night on the "beach" by the fire. It does have some trees, but not as many as you can find in the State Parks. We...

Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge has a great camp ground for camping. I went there with my family, we stayed for three night in a rustic camp site. The place has great facilities, very clean and friendly services. We enjoyed the nature trail that is adjacent to the camp ground and the fire pit that is light up every night....

There is something very special about rustic camping in the Florida Keys. Sleeping under the stars, having the Key Deer visit you at camp, the smell of the ocean.... truly and adventure! Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words. It is guests like you that make the BPKFL a special place to be!

Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge was a lovely place to pitch our tent. Nice little spot. Next time maybe we will have an RV. Good location for a sunrise! Sorta close to other campers but everyone was so nice.

This is the second time my wife have stayed at BPKFL. The campground is very laid back. Most of the sites have some sort of shade (as opposed to some of the RV facilities down the road), level ground and an easy walk to the immaculate bathrooms and showers or the pool, or the camp office/store. We were visited every...

The setting is lovely, right on the water. The grounds are very nice, well maintained, with good campsites. Key deer roam freely throughout the campgrounds, which is such a nice treat. There's a quite good little store right on site. We really enjoyed staying here, and hated to leave!

As always the grounds and restrooms are spotless. Gorgeous setting on the water. My favorite place in Florida to camp. Great for families or couples. Lots of activities in the area plus Key West is 45 minutes away. Excellent value for camping in the keys. Stay in primitive right on the water.

Camping in the keys isn't cheap, and of the places I camped during my trip, Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge was the only one worth the price. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge (BPKFL) occupies ten pristine acres between the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Perfectly positioned in the Middle Keys at MM33, the BPKFL offers a friendly home-base from which to enjoy all the Florida Keys has to offer. The BPKFL has several lodging options to choose from including efficiencies, motel rooms, rustic campsites, electric/water RV sites and even waterfront sites. With a boat ramp and canals, you can put your boat in the water (and leave it in the water) during your stay. This idea of "boat-side" camping gives you the freedom to jump in your boat and go when the mood strikes. Our camp store is stocked with everything you need to be comfortable at camp and out on the water. This includes food, beverages and snacks plus fishing and marine supplies like marine gas, bait and basic water sports equipment. We are one of the few campgrounds in the area where you can come with an empty cooler and get everything you need right on property. Recreation is a big part of life in the Keys and at the BPKFL we have the facilities to help you make the most of your vacation. Play ping-pong, take a long walk on the beach or just relax under a palm tree; do as much or as little as you care to do. From our roof top pool to our calendar of parties and planned activities, BPKFL has something for visitors of all ages. If you need anything at all, please call our office and a member of the Big Pine Key Fishing Lodge will return your call within 24 hours.
