We were lucky enough to find a ride out to Cabbage Key on Thursday just in time for the end of the lunch run. Mary waited on us and was an absolute delight! The cheeseburgers were GREAT!!! Everyone so friendly and accomodating, Can't wait to go back!

Such a fun spot! After a fun day of boating we were quite hungry...got to Cabbagekey and were greeted warmly...sat down and had one of the most fun meals in awhile with our super awesome servers, Cathy & Debi, who took exceptional care of us. Honestly...one of the best burgers I've had...Everyone else had delicious seafood and especially the beans...

We were going to stay at the inn, however it is located inside the restaurant. We did not know the rooms would be inside the actual restaurant. The staff was very nice, they refunded us and sent us over to the other property. Tarpon Lodge, was just what we were looking for. This is a great place to eat, and...

Emily took GREAT care of our group of 11 for lunch today. The food was very good and the "old Florida" charm was at it's best. Everyone enjoyed the friendly service. The place was hopping....but our food came out hot and yummy!

We went to lunch at cabbage key this past Saturday and had one of the nicest days we've ever had on the water! The food at the restaurant was top shelf! Snow crab claws for an appetizer and black beans and rice on the side! The hamburger was cooked perfectly! The shrimp salad sandwich was second to none! The service...

We took a day trip to Cabbage Key. Boat ride was fantastic. Saw lots of dolphins on the ride over and return trip. There were lots of boats and people, but we were seated quickly. All in our party ordered the cheese burger. Our server, Marcie, was terrific, lots of personality, information and efficient. It was stated on the menus...

We appreciate your positive feedback on Marcie and are addressing the over-sized bun issue you stated in your review. The size of our burger patties has stayed consistent. However, we have been receiving fresh buns that are occasionally over-sized. We are working to correct this issue with our bakery and hope that you will visit us again soon.

Great way to escape and unwind. No cars. Good food. Friendly staff. Rent a cottage and unplug. Kayak or boat to beach. Walk the trails. See shooting stars. Life like it used to be before we got so busy. We will make this an annual trip.

That’s amazing! We love when our guests become regulars and a part of the Cabbage Key family. Our island is often described as “a great place to kick your feet up and watch the boats go by.” We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Cabbage Key is a 100 acre island located five miles off of Pine Island, FL in the Pine Island Sound. The Inn, built in the 1940's by the family of Mary Roberts Rinehart, now houses our famous Restaurant & Dollar Bill Bar and six guest rooms. The rooms in the Inn are all different with old Florida charm - they do not have TVs, phones, or refrigerators. We have seven cottages on the island, ranging from a 1 bedroom/1 bath cottage to 3 bedroom/3 bath waterfront units. All cottages have refrigerators, televisions (no cable) and coffee makers, some units have full kitchens. Our restaurant is open seven days a week and serves breakfast, lunch & dinner. If you want to relax on a beach...we do not have one here. But, Cayo Costa is a close kayak or boat ride away. This is a great retreat to discover "Old Florida", relax with a book, fish from our docks & watch the boats go by. ... more   less
