This is the second visit our family has made to Anna Maria Island and staying at Tradewinds Beach resort. We have stayed once in the summer time and this time, the week following Christmas.

If you like modern old style Florida cottages, this is the place for you. We stayed in the larger ones on the north- worth the money. All of the staff was great and very helpful. Loved the free chairs on the beach and the pool...More

We brought our dog on trip but as the previous reviewer said they are not allowed on beaches. We took her to the causeway beaches (the roads & bridges that go over water Anna Maria Sound). They're not "designated" dog beaches or dog parks but areas they are allowed. She loved it! The room had a visitor binder that had a list of restaurants that allowed dogs so we took her with us to some of them: "Maria's Family Place" and "Skinnys". She loved that too of course :)
