My friends and I made a short trip to Carrabelle, our first time to that area. We stayed at the Winchester Cottage and it was one of the most charming cottages I have ever stayed in. Very cozy and inviting. We spent most of our time at St George on the beach but coming back to the cottage each day...

We love The Old Carrabelle Hotel! It's so quaint and comfortable, you feel right at home the minute you walk in. When at home in Pittsburgh, with the snow flying, we dream of sitting on their wonderful balcony.drinking margaritas!

A perfect weekend get away- the accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Friendly Inn keepers and a great breakfast. We also enjoyed the waterfront restaurants and night life. I highly recommend this cozy inn and the Carrabelle area.

The Old Carrabelle hotel met and exceeded our needs! My husband, pup and 9-week old daughter enjoyed the Magnolia Room. It was large enough for all of us and accommodated the Pack n' Play for the baby well. I read in another review that staying here was like staying over at a friend's house. I 100% agree with that! Carrabelle...

After searching the Internet, I came across this " Dimond in the Rough ". What a wonderful thing to do, take a 150 year old hotel and remodal the up stairs into four lovely bedrooms with privet bathrooms. My wife and I spent three nights in the Magnolia room and enjoyed a great weekend. Was able to talk with the...

A cute place, but we never did meet the innkeepers. No coffee in the am - and couldn't find the makings to do it ourselves. The breakfast voucher did get us a great meal at a friendly cafe. We love the area.

My husband and I stayed here, and have only positive things to say about the experience. It was mid-August (2014), during a heat wave, and the hotel was nice and air conditioned. Our room (Magnolia) was very clean and the decor was lovely. My mom actually stayed in the Hemingway room, and was in love with the place - particularly...

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Old Carrabelle in May 2014 on a week long motorcycle trip thru the panhandle and had a wonderful time. Accommodations were very nice and we got to meet and talk with the owners. The location allowed us to walk to the nearby waterfront area. We would stay there again.

Stayed in the Magnolia room for 4 nights. Nicely decorated, with a magnolia tree outside one window, deck porch and 2 chairs and another tree out the other window, so the view was pretty. Our porch seating area was very private, but you get the breeze on the more populated side of the porch, where you can hear music from...

We were delightfully charmed by the stay at the Old Carabelle Hotel and enjoyed the lovely room and the 2nd floor wood balcony that overlooks Carabelle. Skip was also super helpful with information about the town and what to do and see. We also liked going to the Carabelle Junction for coffee down the street.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Old Carrabelle Hotel in Carrabelle, Florida is a "Key West style inn on The Forgotten Coast". Once the end-of-the-line railroad hotel, now you may enjoy all the modern comforts in an Old Florida casual atmosphere. There is just something about the experience of a 1900-ish inn at the coast (or a coastal cottage at the coast) that no newer motel-hotel can equal. And we are a very different B&B operation - free beach restaurant breakfasts for Hotel guests, and self check-in -- just for starters. Make your own reservation online, and receive back a confirmation with all the info you may need. Don't Expect: traffic lights, lots of people, McHamburgers, bungee jumps or late-night noise. Do expect: the best seafood, eco-activity opportunities in every direction, cultural/historical activities and a lot of peace and quiet time on the property, in the forest or on the beach or water! ... more   less
