My husband and dined here after 7 pm. It was rather busy but they still had plenty of tables. Perhaps they could have used more staff on a Saturday night. We ate on the screened in porch which was very inviting. There was a piano player in the lobby that was not very good do my husband was happy to...

If you don't stay here when you go Dr cedar key, shame on you!!! What a wonderful place with a wonderful staff! My husband and I stayed here two nights ago...room 29...king bed, greatunpleassann bath but for me, the balcony is the price of admission. We spent hours out there enjoying the quiet and our books. This is a very old hotel with a very rich and notable history. The owners couldn't be nicer. They know the area and can answer any questions you have. The rooms are small, but adequate. Old decor, hard creeky Wood floors, old quilts, definitely a place to stay to relive old Florida in her heyday. The porch is great with...

Transport back in time to a simple time of rocking or swinging in the gulf breezes up on the lanai while sipping a cold drink! The rooms are spacious, clean & charming, while being clean and comfortable. This hotel is in the best location in Cedar Key to explore the area on foot & experience the local culture. Every staff...

I come here each year for fishing trips. The owner personally makes us a breakfast early to insure we make it to the dock on time. That is hospitality! A great stay. His French Toast is the best! There is a great little bar that I am sure Hemingway would have felt home in.

My wife and I stayed here on a recent trip around Florida, as a a history buff it did not disappoint, built in 1856 I believe the owner said, creaky floors wooden cases in the lobby, maybe no a/c, I looked around our room for a thermostat but did not find one so we opened the window and turned the...

Surprisingly we were trying to find a good restaurant in Cedar Key as we'd been disappointed in our first two tries. Had read mixed reviews on this restaurant but decided to give it a shot. The meal and service were fabulous. Had the Palm salad and shrimp & grits appetizers which were outstanding. Our entrees were the Stuffed fish and...

What a find - the hotel was built in the mid-1800's and is still attractive. The room was a delightful throwback to a time when travel was exotic. We enjoyed the porch and rockers as we watched folks go by. We ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. Service was wonderful and the food was excellent, in fact, it was...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel built in 1859. Our room was attractive, and the mattress was comfortable. The en suite bathroom was small, but there was a table for toiletries and shelves nearby. We enjoyed the second-story porch with the big swing and rockers. It was the perfect place to read, nap, and watch passersby. It is close...

This is one of the old hotels that has been updated and is a very nice place to stay. They have a dining room with breakfast included and dinner at night. We stayed in room 36 which is on the second story by the balcony. This room has a bathroom with shower in the room which is fairly small but...
