The Island Hotel is essentially an over-the-top B&B and restaurant in a laid back little fishing village, Cedar Key, on the west coast of Florida. The rooms are nice with a full sized breakfast included. The restaurant is spacious, well appointed, with a great menu. The bar is a gathering place for visitors and locals alike and you'll run into...

Stayed for two nights, wonderful ambiance, great service and delicious food in the restaurant. We so enjoyed our stay here, they definitely take customer service seriously. Clean, beautifully appointed rooms, great bar and restaurant and a lovely second floor wrap around deck perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Definitely would recommend a stay here and hope to be able to come...

Cedar Key is a hike from the Interstate, maybe an hour’s drive through scrub forest and Old Florida towns. But upon entering the once-prominent old town and smelling the salty air, you sense a change. Time to down-shift. And for a traveler like me who is into kayaking, history and seafood, you couldn't ask for more. The Island Hotel (1859)...

Some things never change and this is one. Built in 1859 as the first general store, it was used during the Civil War as a hospital, then a hotel in 1915, A second story porch was added and THAT's where you want to spend a leisurely few hours in the swing. The hotel is a grand old lady with thick...

While this lovely hotel is not on the waterfront harbour drive, it is steps away and many levels above its competition in service and comfort. The dining room is spacious, food selection has broad appeal, preparation is superb and the wait staff knowledgeable and accommodating. The separate bar is luscious and a grand meeting place. Hard to turn down escargot and...

This is a beautiful, quiet and historic hotel. Very nice. I think it is a family business and we are greeted as if we are old friends. The rooms are spacious and the walk around porch is really special.

I stay there every year for business. The family owned and operated hotel is the best! Quaint, quiet, great food in restaurant, and the nicest people you would ever want to meet. An employee, Angel, is the sweetest kindest, most awesome! Treats you like family, and does everything she can to make you feel at home. I will continue to...

Visited Cedar Key for a quiet birthday celebration with the family. Could not have been better. This Inn is located on the business street that is not busy at all. The Inn is in a historic building and takes you back to a visit of older times. The air conditioned B&B was great Left our doors open during the day...

Enjoyed our overnight stay in this one of a kind historical hotel. The antique furnishings added a special charm, and the atmosphere was unique. Employees were very friendly. We enjoyed the friendliness of the locals in the bar, and had a delicious meal in the restaurant. Especially enjoyed relaxing in the swing on the upstairs porch.

We had a great room with an exit to the second floor porch. We found that this is not necessary because the hall exits to, the porch. We found the personnel very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very elegant, but serves a hearty complementary breakfast.
