This was our first trip to Clearwater and we will be back! This hotel was CLEAN!! It even smelled clean. Great location, walking distance to everything. Right across the street from the beach, they had a conveniently located hut prior to entering the beach which provided you with towels for the beach. The food was great! We ate at The Shor for breakfast and dinner. Both meals were fabulous. The bartender made tasty cocktails. I was able to grab my little one a bowl of fruit and chicken tenders to warm up in the room from the cafe. Great selection. Staff and management were extremely friendly and accomodating even with the crowds of spring break. Kids had a great time at the pool swimming, drinking smoothies and making a stuffed animal. Can't wait to book our next stay!

As a Globalist I have high expectations for every Hyatt I stay at..which is several throughout the year for our 3 companies. We consistently return to the Clearwater Hyatt Regency because the service level of the entire team is outstanding! We have converted from Marriott to Hyatt mostly because of this one property doing such a great job and are moving our Florida based operations to use this resort whenever I go there. I have frequented this property for both business and vacation and have recommended it to many others. If you want a great stay and an excellent experience book experience book your trip to the Hyatt Regency Clearwater.

We visited Hyatt Regency Clearwater for the first time this past week for Spring Break. We have a 4 and 6 year old and we had the best time!! The rooms are amazing and are equipped with a kitchenette and have the most AMAZING views! We stayed in a double suite, thanks to the awesome service from Jose at the front desk. He helped us get a room with two beds after we were there for one night and realized we needed another bed. We had the breakfast buffet every morning and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the offerings. The pool was fun and we enjoyed Tropico. We recommend the Barbacoa tacos! The boys enjoyed the Hyatt Hangout and all of the daily activities. We didn’t realize that their beach was a public beach, so it was pretty crowded everyday. Luckily we were on the tail end of the spring break rush. Our housekeeping service were 5 stars. So accommodating and always pleasant. All of the hotel workers were so friendly and always helpful. We also thought the main floor (2nd level) was kept very clean considering all of the sand foot traffic. Lots of things to do nearby. We loved the playground. We will be back!

I wish I could give 10 stars!!! Our trip was amazing from start to finish. I had emailed Lindsey prior to our arrival to see about a larger room as we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday. Not only did they upgrade us but also send up some dessert and stuffed animal for her!!! Scott the other manager on duty and Mary at check in made our stay so amazing. We will absolutely be back!!

This was a fabulous hotel! We stayed for 7 nights with our family of 5 and absolutely loved it! I have never been to another hotel where EVERY SINGLE staff member was so kind and friendly….from the valet to the cleaning staff to the restaurant servers, everyone was wonderful. We arrived for Easter brunch without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us - we told them we were fine sitting at the bar and Angel (the manager on duty) came right up to us and found us a lovely table outside. We felt like valued guests our entire stay. The one bedroom suite was perfect for a large family - two queens and a large pullout couch. The full kitchenette was wonderful too - we ordered groceries from Publix and made sandwiches for the beach every day. The rooms are spacious and well decorated, the pool has the best sunset view in town and was nice and warm, and the location is convenient to everything - the Surfstyle shop next door has everything you could need for the beach, and also a small market for drinks, wine, food items. A few hints - for beach chairs, go down around 8:45 to reserve front row chairs/cabana. The beach is crowded but so much nice on the front row with clear view of the ocean. Just bring your towels down and a book or water bottles and leave on the chairs, then after breakfast when you go back they will come over to get payment. Hotel offers 50% discount on chairs. Also, the rooftop hot tub is lovely. One day it rained and we spent an hour or so up there. Beautiful view. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely be back! It was a perfect vacation for our family.

Overall good place to stay. Enjoyed the location. But very busy as we went at Spring Break. Limited housekeeping and cant drink tap water. Liked the full kitchen and easy access to the beach. Pool was a good size. Lots to see and do.

Let’s start with the good…friendly staff, great valet attendants, clean room and overall clean property. Great location! Shor restaurant was really good and despite the amount of people at the hotel, our room was fairly quiet. Now onto the not so good…room wasn’t ready at check in, had to wait for an hour and half for our room to be ready. The hotel did acknowledge and care about the delay and offered us free breakfast which we declined and said we would prefer a discount on the room rate, which they honored. Very pleased with that aspect of their customer service. We reserved a two bedroom suite and were disappointed with the location of the room. Apparently, they only have 3 of these room types at the hotel and they all look out over the 16th floor terrace deck, which was absolutely not good for the amount of money you’re paying. Open the curtains in your king bedroom suite and stare at sunbathers and people taking selfies and people in the hot tub. Had to keep our curtains drawn the entire time so people couldn’t see in. The room states its ocean view, and from the balcony, it kind of is but it’s mostly a view of the pool and the 16th floor sun deck (as mentioned above) which also is event space. Thankfully, there wasn’t an event for the two nights we stayed because if there had been, it would have been loud and super annoying. For the price (over 2k for two nights) this location and view is unacceptable. The room was very nice with a full kitchen, king bedroom and bathroom, a second bedroom with two queen beds and ensuite bathroom, plus a living area. It’s huge but the view and location was lackluster and kind of ruined it for us. Additionally, the entire floor smelled of marijuana periodically throughout the day and especially in the evening wafting into our room, just gross! The hotel was extremely busy (sold out during our stay) which is to be expected during the spring break season but overall they did a good job servicing everyone and we didn’t wait too long for anything. The pool is on the 8th floor and is not anything to be desired. It was super windy given the elevation and there are only a small number of chairs in the sun, which as you can imagine were claimed at 7:00 AM. No thanks! The beach is right across the street and is public so be prepared for crowds if you’re visiting at a busy time of year. Get out early to get a sun shade with lounge chairs or umbrella with lounge chairs. We did manage to get some seats which Clearwater Beach employees rent on a first come first serve basis. We reserved ours and went back up to our room to get our suits on and came back and folks had taken our chairs. They politely moved when we showed them the rental receipt which was nice but, it was still frustrating. Lastly, many of the restaurants in Clearwater Beach don’t take reservations (thankfully the restaurant at the Hyatt does) so if you’re looking to eat out be prepared to wait and plan accordingly. Also, walk wherever you can because the traffic is horrible! The location of the hotel is awesome but it was so crowded everywhere that it was very hectic and not quite as relaxing as we would have liked. Again, much of this is likely due to the time of year, and we will not return to CB during March or April. I’ve traveled extensively and I’ve never seen crowds like I saw in Clearwater Beach during our time there. It was unbelievable! Overall, our experience was okay and we found Clearwater Beach to be overrated and chaotic.

The location is fabulous but the hotel needs an update. It feels a bit shabby. This was unexpected given the cost of the rooms. The Wyndham next door was MUCH nicer. Next time, I would skip the Hyatt and stay at the Wyndham.

The food, services, management and rooms were terrible. We were looking to have an enjoyable stay and it was stressful. I feel at least that due my poor experience, I should be credited all my points I used in staying at this hotel.
