What a beautiful resort. The amenities are fantastic. Food and beverages at Shor are very good. The same can be said for the pool and rooftop cantina that has spectacular views! Location is second to none. Would highly recommend if you plan on staying at Clearwater Beach.
As a Globalist I have high expectations for every Hyatt I stay at..which is several throughout the year for our 3 companies. We consistently return to the Clearwater Hyatt Regency because the service level of the entire team is outstanding! We have converted from Marriott to Hyatt mostly because of this one property doing such a great job and are moving our Florida based operations to use this resort whenever I go there. I have frequented this property for both business and vacation and have recommended it to many others. If you want a great stay and an excellent experience book experience book your trip to the Hyatt Regency Clearwater.
This was my first time visiting Clearwater - we were there for a wedding. The staff was impeccable in every aspect, the rooms were clean and very spacious, great amenities on site, beds comfortable, great views and an awesome locations with lots of places to walk for food, drinks and entertainment.
The hotel itself was nice enough. However, the area around the hotel is a little bit seedy. I was constantly hassled by panhandlers looking for a buck. The beach across the street is nice enough however, I spent most of the time traveling to other beaches if I wish to stay in Clearwater again, which I will it won’t be at the Hyatt.
Beautiful beach and pool. Staff were warm and welcoming, and very attentive. Our room was clean and spacious. It is a beautiful resort, and November was a good month to visit because of limited crowds. We hope to come back!
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater is situated in a great central location on Clearwater Beach. Everything is in easy walking distance. The hotel was clean and in my experience the staff were typically nice and accommodating. Our room was a 2 BR suite, I was told 1,600 square feet. In any event huge space, 3 large flatscreens and 3 full baths. Master bathroom lighting and layout were not great, but otherwise the room itself was great. Unfortunately, the sleeper sofa mattress was terrible so we had to request a rollaway bed which stayed in the room for the duration of our stay. The master bedroom mattress was completely worn out as well. Housekeeping brought a new mattress and pillows the second day. Unfortunately our first night was not at all pleasant. Interestingly, no reaching out at all from management after that first night debacle. Sorry but I didn’t feel a few pieces of candy, nuts and popcorn was appropriate without a word from management. We ate twice at Shor restaurant in the property. The first was thanksgiving dinner buffet. Unfortunately, the food was below average and the service was farther below average while the price was far above average. I went back the next morning for breakfast buffet because I had so little to eat the night before. That was a much better experience.I did voice my concerns the next day and management this time addressed the charges but the experience should have been good if not great in the first place considering the price. Before we checked out I revisited the first night issues and a concession was made by management but I did not think it should have been my role as a guest to have to initiate this conversation. Also one other noteworthy point, the pool is on the 8th floor but is mostly shaded and very windy. Not ideal at all. Shout out to a kind bartender Rachel, who was extremely personable and made one afternoon very enjoyable. Like I said, some good things here, some bad. Overall average accommodations.…
We’ve stayed here so many times we’ve lost count ! Best resort on the best beach ! We enjoyed the breakfast at Shor every day we were there . It’s a short walk across the road to the beach . Pool deck level and bar is also exceptional!
Hotel is situated at central of Clearwater with great access to beach, restaurants, ice cream shops and gift shops. Staff are mostly friendly, and services are great. Because of my status, my family was able to upgrade to a double queen suite with full kitchen, living room and a large balcony with beach front view. The room is kept up to date, and has 2 full bath, that gives us plenty of spaces to enjoy. We were able to bring outside food on Thanksgiving evening and able to heat up easily. There is plenty of towels for beach or pool, just have to be sure to return after using, there is also beach tent and chairs for rent, which you will find pretty useful when the sun is hitting hard. When we arrived in to Clearwater, the temperature was right around 65~78, it was pretty enjoyable during the day time with a lot of sun for two days, the beach water was bit cold, but with that good amount of sunlight, we were able to dip in water for good amount of time and not feeling cold. The last day was bit cloudy, which we considered ourselves were lucky to see that on the day we are leaving. Again, because of the Globalist Status, we were able to do late checkout at 4 pm, which helps a lot to catch our late flight at 10 pm going home.…
Asked for a dehumidifier twice in two nights! First night no call back ! 2nd morning I called back and was informed That the dehumidifier was being used by another guest and they only had one? I was willing to drive an hour to get one
This location was fabulous. Lots to do and see. Staff were wonderful and were able to answer questions as they arose. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and a Starbucks directly across the street, yay!
