Excellent hotel. Clean, newly renovated suites. Hot breakfast with lots of choices, 24/7 hot beverages available, staff very helpful. Away from crowds but close enough to many attractions. Will stay again.
This is a hotel that served our purpose for our trip to Spring Training 2022. It is located 1.3 miles from TD Ballpark ,where the Blue Jays train . That means within walking distance along beautiful tree lined streets and along the waterfront. It is 5.1 miles from BayCare Ballpark where the Philles train. Not within walking distance but a short drive. Also downtown Dunedin is a very short drive away with multiple places to eat and shop. No chain restaurants. The rooms were fine, beds comfortable, good television, refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom had plenty of towels. If I tried to pull the stopper up on the sink , the top of the pull rod would come off. Minor inconvenience. Our room was over the office and that meant we had very bright light coming through the cracks in the curtain. That issue is only for certain rooms. Complimentary hot breakfast was typical, but that's fine. Staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.…
We spent 12 days there in December. Refurbishment work going on on the first floor, so a bit noisy. Nice clean refurbished room on the second floor overlooking Clearwater Beach. Free breakfast was a welcome bonus. Plenty to eat and free coffee all the time. Staff very helpful and polite. The only drawback was the pathetic water pressure in the bathroom. It took 20 seconds to fill a coffee cup with hot water. The shower just about got you wet, if you stood against the wall under the shower head. No such thing as "a quick shower". Plan your ablutions well in advance. Despite my complaining, nothing was done about the water pressure. Apart from that, all was good.
Without prior knowledge or warning, booked a room in this hotel while it was under major construction. First sign that this wasn't a hotel that I wished to spend the night in was a woman complaining she had no running water in her room. Response from the clerk, we always have problems with that room. Upon entering the elevator, I wasn't pleased with the soot on the floor, and was taken aback by the smell as I entered my room. I needed to immediately shower and put on makeup to attended a concert that I drove over 4 hours to see. Imagine, my shock as I was attempting to apply mascara, someone was operating a jackhammer on the floor below. I had more mascara on my eyes than eyelashes. I left the hotel to properly apply my makeup in the car. At 6:00 AM, we were awoken by someone horribly retching in the room next to ours. Upon contacting hotel management about our displeasure during our stay, I was subjected the wrath of an unpolished and extremely nasty day manager who is in need of schooling on proper etiquette and customer relations skills. The underlining motto of this hotel is while we're under construction, we will gladly take your money and inconvenience you, but don't you dare ask for a refund or some form of a credit towards another stay. Their words of apology are hollow without action behind them.…
We were told they were renovating the hotel, and until now, that has never been an issue After half an hour in the room the smell was really strong, not paint, stronger than that and I started getting nauseous We realized we couldn’t stay there, explained situation to front desk and they told us the didn’t have any room to move us and that they were not going to refund the money We left anyway because it was unhealthy
The Comfort Suites Clearwater-Dunedin was exactly what we were looking for and is part of the reason we return to Dunedin each year. Comfort Suites may not come to mind when you think of a tropical escape or a place to stay for a weekend get-a-way, but for us this place only enhances our experience. The price, cleanliness, spacious rooms, very friendly staff and location make this the perfect stay. The Comfort Suites Clearwater - Dunedin is close to downtown Dunedin and Clearwater making it a very convenient location. However, it is situated in area where you feel relaxed and not caught up in traffic or the noise that comes with being right in the middle of things. We have been here three times now and have never been disappointed. We will definitely stay here on our next visit.…
Comfort Suites has some highs as well as some lows. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating when available. Dining room staff basically kept to themselves. I never had contact with housekeeping staff. Parking lot was nice and well lit. Lots of fun activity at the pool. The king suite room was very spacious, accommodating and clean. The same for the bathroom within the king suite room. I have no complaints about anything here. Fitness center is an accident waiting to happen. Elliptical machine tilts sideways and is unstable to use. The treadmill control panel is broken and possibility of an electrical shock threat when you try to increase your pace. The quality of food offered in the dining room is average at best. It’s nice that the breakfast is complimentary, but the taste and quality of food is subpar. Desktop computer is available in lobby seating area, but could not print anything. I would not call it a business center. Overall, I would stay there again for its convenient and central location to both Clearwater Beach and the city of Clearwater. It is located right in between. I would not choose to stay here for its amenities, but you cannot beat the rooms for the price.…
Best hotel. Acceptional staff. Great location You are a fool not to choose this hotel first in Clearwater. Staff friendly, helpful, and honest. Location incredible. Owner a delight. A true hotel if ever seen. One vacation I spent $2.7 million to stay with 57 people. This hotel would have been better at 1/23 of the price. Sue and her staff perfectionist. Five stars. Adam S.
Room is old and moldy. Cracked, water damaged ceiling, bathroom was terrible, drapes all wrinkled and dusty. Management said they promised it was clean even though it looks bad. Said former maintenance crew didn’t repair properly?? She said remodel coming in April——-Wait till completed then before you stay here. Quoted $309 for weekend nights and $209 weekdays.
Had a wonderful experience here. Great staff and a shout out to Sue the front office manager and Crystal a new trainee. Went down to see a dying aunt and their assistance was fantastic. Hotel is very clean and maintained and the view is fantastic.
